These are Safe Shorts. They were made by Sandra Seilz after someone attempted to rape her. If the fabric is torn, an alarm will be sounded.

This is the Rape-aXe, invented by a South African doctor by the name of  Sonnet Ehlers. After interviewing a rape victim who wished she had teeth down there, she made this. If someone’s penis is inserted and pulled back out, the teeth will sink in, and can only be removed by a doctor.

The Killer Tampon (couldn’t find a site for it), made by retired anaesthetist Jaap Haumann. When penetration takes place, the sharp end will slice the offending appendage.

The Anti-Rape Belt (also couldn’t find a site), made by a group of Swedish teenagers led by Nadja Björk. It requires two hands to undo.

Anti-Rape Underwear/Bra (once again), as made by a group of Indian students. Will deliver an electric shock when met with unwanted advances, as well as sounding an alarm.

Undercover Colours. Made by 4 male undergraduates at North Carolina U, they change colours when in contact with chemicals or drugs that cause unconsciousness. Used in case you’re wary that your drink has been roofied.

These are just tools to help, but in addition to being mindful of your situations and staying safe, they can help when the worst happens.

Kaifeng Jews of China, who go back to the 7th or 8th century. Unfortunately, during the 20th century much of their culture was almost wiped out and the Kaifeng are currently working to rediscover their Jewish heritage and culture.

hi! I’m a 17 year old autistic kid living in the UK. my PIP (disablility benefits) have been drastically reduced due to new government measures. despite my disability remainng exactly the same, i recieve far less money to support myself. i’m hunting for a job that will let me sit down while i work (a miracle, i know), but in the meantime: 

I have rent to pay (£120 to my mother - who will likely kick me out if i can’t make it by august 6. there are other places i could technicallly go, but i rather like my house, and my brother, and my cats)

I have meds to pay for by the end of the week, otherwise i’ll go into withdrawal, and my severe OCD will likely return (£12 by august 3)

this is a ~wishlist item~, but i could really use a wheelchair to deal with the pain and dizziness i feel from just standing up. i use a £5 cane. a wheelchair would set me back at least £80 that i don’t have right now.

Coming at you again to say that applying to take the ACT and then having to pay +26$ for them to send my application to 6 schools fucking sucks. Not to mention the application fees to apply to all of those schools is going to total over 500$. I work in house cleaning and but even then I live paycheck to paycheck; if anyone can help and donate anything it would really help this lesbian get the best chance to actually be accepted to a good college. I’ll be looking to getting my application fee waivered but I don’t have a lot of faith in that.
