Stay away from the shoreline. The rule was simple enough to follow, but even simpler rules were difficult to obey for Dallon. Always having a curiosity about human life he would find himself straying dangerously close to where he might be spotted. But in his mind, it was completely worth the risk. He was thrilled when his older sister informed him that he would be on lookout tonight, providing him with the opportunity to rise to the surface without many questions being asked. As the time of watch neared, the brunette surfaced and swam towards a rock to hold onto. His dark eyes scanned over his surroundings, spotting only one human in sight. From this distance Dallon couldn’t see much of the boy, but the blond appeared to be around his age. Enchanted almost, he dared to swim a little closer; holding his breath practically and hoping that he wouldn’t be spotted.

okay since i have an actual issue with this and it need to be addressed since it happens to me sometimes and it completely ruins my muse for a thread. talk to me in the tags. i have to say that being ignored when you try and talk to someone in the tags is one of the most uncomfortable things in the world. i’m not asking you to tell me about your life but at least making fun comments or interacting with writers is the biggest enjoyment of this place. i love reading tags or looking back in a verse tag and reading the conversations we have about things.

    Lilo was never really the best when it came to revealing her true emotions, but she was feeling particularly vulnerable tonight. After slipping out of bed the girl retreated into her roommate’s room, giving them a gentle nudge. “–Hey… do you mind if I crawl in with you? I don’t wanna be alone tonight.”

    Finn was slightly startled by the small nudge, but when he heard the voice that was accompanied by it; his body relaxed. His eyes slowly opened and flickered up to look at Lilo, his heartstrings being tugged by how vulnerable she looked. “Of course I don’t mind, you know that you’re always able to crawl into bed with me. I’ll make sure you’re alright.” He maneuvered himself over, freeing a bit of space beside him for her to lay down. “Get in, beautiful.”

    A small dry laugh escaped the blond as he crinkled his nose slightly, “You’re telling me… at least you don’t have to live with the asshole who turned you.”

    “--Okay… you definitely have it worse off than me. Actually, no.” Eve paused for a brief moment, her brows furrowing. “You’re lucky that you have the person who turned you still looking after you, becuase the guy who turned me just took off. He left me laying in some dingy street, dead. I didn’t have anyone to help me adjust to this new life, so you should probably be grateful that this dude stuck around for you.”

  A faint smile appeared on the man’s lips, it was rare and usually only visible for the beautiful girl standing before him. Adam closed the space between them, his hands coming to rest down upon her hips. “I like that alternative better too,” he murmured before pressing his lips softly to hers.

“Maybe you’re not looking in the right places? I mean, not every guy is a dick.” Especially not me. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips, “See, that’s just gonna motivate me even more to make you smile. Seeing that beautiful smile makes it all worth it in the end.”
