It hits like a cartoon anvil dropped at extreme heights before a freight train goes rogue and derails into him. No thought was given to a seemingly innocent text from Caleb. Though now that he thinks about it — should those words even be in the same sentence? But the second Griffin taps the message, he’s blinded. Arms whipping up to shield has face as the phone goes flying into the goddamn ceiling. He’s already colliding with the living room furniture by the time the device plummets. Full on cranial impact with the blunt edge of a cloth covered couch arm.

Griffin’s not sure if he’s seeing stars from a possible concussion, or the instant mental damage from seeing full frontal.

Either way, he’s down for the count. Still hollering like his bad foot got run over by a semi. Even ol’ reliable, Butters the super crazed cat, gives the hellish offender a piece of mind by biting the shit out of the screen and sides — whatever those pin needle teeth can sink into. Then it’s flung a second time straight into the wall.

Fortunately ( for Griffin ), nothing can be sent back from how damaged his phone has become.

Might as well ask him to do an entire circus act at this point, but the table's finally set and he's only sweating a minor amount.

Jack wasn't expecting anything. It wasn't that Griff and him weren't romantic, but Valentine's just never seemed like something they super cared about. So imagine his fucking surprise when he came home early to see Griff cooking pasta.

It would be insane not to be startled by the cacophony and Mars flinches like someone just sounded off a rifle. Looks over and sees its just... a guy. Well, thank god. "Mate... are you alright? Sounded like you just shot a bullet or two out your nostrils." But he's laughing, lifting his scotch to his lips and raising eyebrows.

"Hm... Does Your Mother Know by ABBA. Or Radio GaGa, by Queen. What about you?"

Which he wouldn't blame any restaurant owner for doing. Might as well lump the cat in with the rat-free policy.

Theo laughs a bit, too, finishing out is cigarette but making damn sure not to throw it on the ground where this horrid cat or other creatures might get to the butt and finish that part off, too.
