Photos featuring the collapse of the South tower of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001.

Kevin Cosgrove, an American insurance business executive for Aon Corporation, worked on the 105th floor of the South tower. The Aon Corp. office was about 20 floors above the impact zone.

All staircases within the South tower were immediately destroyed upon impact of Flight 175, those of which who were above the impact zone were sparsely evacuated, and only a handful of people survived.

Kevin Cosgrove was not one of those people, and was a victim of the collapse of the tower while on the phone with a 911 phone operator. After the events of September 11th, Cosgrove’s call was released to the public. You can listen to the call here.

Rare photo of US175 (United Airlines 175) seconds after the strike on the South tower. Despite Flight 11’s plane remaining entirely intact inside of the North tower, US175’s starboard engine and several other parts of the plane scattered six blocks away from the site.

Taken from the park at City Hall, a little over a mile away from the WTC, by Joseph Whistler.

At 9:59:00 AM, the tower collapses as a result of the impact; a much faster collapse than that of the North tower, due to the speed of the collision and the way of which the airliner hit.

Fun fact, you can see the self-inflicted bullet hole on the picture featuring his Boonie hat.

Referencing the 5th picture; that is a shot of the pants he wore (obviously) but backwards. Though this is with complete speculation but since the photo of the front of the pants (along with the fishing vest he wore) isn’t released I’m assuming it’s just because of the sheer amount of blood coating both items.

Crime scene photos featuring the guns AL used to kill both his mother, Nancy Lanza, 28 teachers and kids including himself. (Technically not all 28, I’m pretty sure he killed himself and a few others with the Glock 20SF he had on hand due to his rifle jamming.)
