After the daily nighttime story (king Arthur again, Arturoโs all-time favorite) and the mandatory (by Arturoโs grandma) prayer of the night, Ari finally exited his kidโs room with a long and tired sigh, a hand massaging his own shoulder blades as he tried to get rid of the tension in them. Once he made sure his kid was, in fact, asleep, he closed the door and made his way to the living room, only to realize his neighbor was completely asleep.ย
With a chuckle, he went to the kitchen and gathered some snacks for them and made his way back to the living room. Just as he was about to sit down, his foot kicked the table and he cursed under his breath, a soft chuckle escaping his lips at the otherโs question.ย โYeah, kind of. It takes Art a while to fall asleep, sorry about that. He was excited to have you over so he didnโt want to sleep. I brought snacks, I made some cheese sauce last night so, help yourself man. You want a beer? Or something stronger?โย

Dylan didnโt mind spending his Saturday night at Ariโs to look after his kid. He only lived right next door, after all, and though he had the option to bring Arturo to his place, he didnโt think it was the right environment for such a young child for various reasons. Besides, something about Ariโs house seemed much homier to him, in a sense. He didnโt know what about it made him feel that way, but it was strangely comforting.
After tucking Arturo in bed, Dylan decided to wait for Ari in the living room and hadnโt realized heโd fallen asleep to a game show rerun on the TV until a sound made him stir awake. He opened his eyes to a figure in front of him, and he jolted up at the thought of an intruder in the house before he remembered that he was in someone elseโs house and that theย โintruderโ was just the owner.ย โHey, sorryโฆ did you just get here?โ Dylan said, quickly getting up despite still barely having come to full consciousness, wiping the side of his mouth in case of any dried-up drool.ย

Dani was a bit surprised to hear a response, but she liked the question.ย โHonestly? Yes. Itโs just such a crazy, ever-moving place. I love it here.โ She answered, with an easy smile. It was nice to talk about the things that made her fall in love with this city. โThatโs exactly the feeling. I donโt want to move away from here, I donโt want to go back home, but thereโs still a lot to be missed. Iโm from Brazil and I visit sometimes, but I think this is the place for me. Oh, and Iโm Dani. What about you?โ
The brunet couldnโt help but not understandingly, shoving his hands inside his pocket as he mirrored the girlโs smile.ย โIt is pretty crazy, isnโt it? Everythingโs happening all at once, itโs weird but in a good way. It also makes me anxious and strangely I have like an existential crisis at least once every week if I think about it?โ the chef chuckled.ย โI get that. I think anyone whoโs away from home can understand what that feels like, being homesick. Even if it wasnโt the best place to be. For how long have you been away?โ he questioned before extending his hand for her to shake.ย โIโm Aristรณteles, but you can call me Ari, everyone does. Iโm from Oaxaca, Mexico.โ

Rechecking her answers, the redhead ran her hand through her hair in thought.ย โWashington. Only they forgot the G. So itโs Washinton I guess. Didnโt know the place changed names without me knowing.โ
โMaybe is one of those Mandela effect things and Washington has always been spelled Washinton since the Matrix broke. OH, maybe someone stole a G from like, a sign and now everyone went away with it and started saying it without the G and no one told us. Both viable options, if you ask meโ Ari reasoned.

โWell, thank you for doing it. I didnโt expect to be having such a big basket of homemade food for me.โ A genuine smile spread on his lips for the gesture, even though he never meant for Ari to actually cook him food. He would have been content with only trying a tiny bit of bread. โHonestly? Anything and everything,โ he laughed, shaking his head. โIโm a Californian guy, grew up near the beach, so I love fish. But Iโll take meat in all its forms, specially as hamburger.โ For a moment he thought Ari would decline the offer, he had no obligation to stay but a part of Heath wanted him to, so when the other accepted, he flashed a smile. โAlright then, Iโll be right back.โ The blond moved to the back of his studio where he had a small kitchen, bringing beers, forks and napkins for the two of them. When he was back, he handed one of the bottles to Ari, placing the other items on the table. โSo, what do you recommend to start with?โ
The chef shrugged lightly, a grin matching the blondโs in response to his words.ย โWell, I hope you like it. Fair warning, if you donโt, I will actually have to quit cooking altogether and actually follow my dream of becoming a mariachiโ he pointed out. Ari was proud of his skills; they had gotten him where he was; one of the few things he was vocal about how proud he was (the others being Arturo and his hometown). However, for a strange reason he didnโt want to dig into, he was nervous about Heath actually trying his cooking.ย โFish, huh? Thatโs awesome, I grew up near a beach too. Have you ever tried ceviche? Iโll think youโd like itโ the youngest male suggested with a grin. As Heath disappeared, Ari took a moment to let his eyes wander about, actually taking in the blondโs art as a full of grin appeared on his lips. Those who said the eyes were the window of the soul, obviously hadnโt seen what art could say about a person. Then, as his companion arrived again, Ariโs smile grew slightly timider, eyes focused on the food.ย โI suggest putting everything in a tortilla and just... eat it, I promise itโs actually good and itโs safe to eat.โ

โWait, yours sounds really nice. Tlayudasโthatโs the tortilla pizzaโฆkind of?โ She grinned with a small laugh. She wasnโt sure if she remembered that right.ย โYou know, itโs on my bucket list to go. I always said I was going to go as a big 21st birthday trip but, uh, life likes to not follow my planner.โ Naomi mused before shaking her head. โYou know I donโt. I mean, I know you sort of taught me, but Iโm kind of rusty. Well, really rusty. I couldnโt promise not to burn something.โ
โYes, the tortilla-pizza ones with the insects you didnโt want me to use that one timeโ Ari mirrored her laugh, scratching the back of his neck nervously.ย โI know, I remember. Maybe for your twenty-eight birthday? If Eli canโt make it, Iโll look after himโ he suggested with a small shrug whilst chewing on his inner cheek, only to smirk at the girlโs next set of words.ย โThatโs okay; cooking is not for everyone, you know that. We uhโ we have wood-fired pizza at Leuca, in case you guys want some. On the house, of course.โย

Willow had never been a spectacular cook. She had been good enough to make do and that was about it. Pair that with living in England for a number for years, her palette had been quite limited. That was however, until she moved back to New York and in with Ari and her nephew. Since then, she has tried more foods that she did in over two decades of life before hand. It was a pleasant experience. most of the time. At least she barely had to cook anymore, that was always a plus.ย
And on days like this, where her body felt like a limp noodle, she was immensely glad. Work on the companies newest piece had just begun and there was always a period at the start where she had to once again get used to the physical stress of rehearsals combines with classes. However, nothing was quite as exciting as this beginning period. Where things were being pieced together and one had no idea how it was all going to work but could see that it would. Living with a child though meant that resting was never really something she got to do. Evident by the fact that she moment she entered, Arturo was running at her with a hug. It was a welcome home she had gotten used to and one that she had fallen in love with.ย โOff you go Art.โ She ruffled his hair before he ran off with the kind of energy she just did not have at the moment.ย ย
A laugh escaped her lips.ย โItโs not the worst answer you could have given, so thereโs that. No clue what exactly that is but it sounds good.โ
Aristรณteles observed in silence the relationship between his sister-in-law and his kid, smiling to himself. He often wondered if Arturo missed his mother. If he could remember the couple singing lullabies to him at night if he could remember Natalieโs stories or her perfume. If he could remember the way she used to dance around the room with him in his arms and lull him to sleep. He knew deep down, Arturo remembered Natalie enough to get sad about her not being around, but he often wondered if he missed her the same way he did. If his body paralyzed at night, whenever he realized Natalie was truly gone, if he needed her as much as Ari did. He wondered if Arturo ever saw Nat in Willow too and felt a pang of sadness wash over him entirely.ย
The chef smiled at Willowโs words, inhaling sharply.ย โAt least I didnโt say the eggs eat grass or something, Iโm kinda proud of that one. You shouldโve seen him, he went directly to the fridge and took out one egg, tried to calm it down. I swear in two years, heโll have everyone in the family become vegan and Iโll be ruinedโ he sighed, a tiny smirk playing on his lips.ย โThatโs because you have never visit me at work and thatโs your faultโ he teased, nudging the blonde, chuckling.ย โPasta al broccoli pesto, basically. Itโs good, people order it a lot.โ

The chef grinned appreciatively as he sat down on the seat the girl offered, looking at the packed room before returning his gaze to the coffee and the newspaper now resting on his thighs, one earbud in place, away from the girlโs side so he could hear her in case she decided to speak up. And surely enough, a few seconds later the man heard a voice calling out, knitting his eyebrows together as he looked up from his paper, shooting the girl a small grin โWhatโs the typo? Like, is it that bad?โ
Vienna decided to relax at a coffee shop with some tea and a crossword puzzle, one of the things she did daily. Seeing someone stand beside her and look around, she looked up and gave a smile. โSeatโs empty if you need one,โ she nodded, looking towards the chair then moving her eyes back down at the crossword puzzle. Staring at the paper for a moment, Vienna sat up and shook her head. โThereโs a typo. How is there a typo?โ Looking over at the person beside her, her eyes widened in shock. โThe New York Times betrayed me.โ @cityofdreamsstartersโ

Ari couldnโt help but eavesdrop the girlโs words, a tiny and somehow understanding smile plastered on his features, chewing onto his inner cheek as he debated making his presence known as he walked by the other.ย โNew York is really your favorite place in the world?โ he finally asked, surprised, before shooting the stranger a gentle smile.ย โSorry I justโ I know the sentiment. I miss home like crazy, even if deep down I know I would hate being back. Where are you from?โ
Dani enjoyed walking everywhere and appreciating the city. She was living the dream beyond any dreams, after all. Still, there were some sights who took her breath away not for representing her achievements, but because they made her think of home. Every time she saw the brazilian flag of the window of that one building on her way to work, her heart ached more than sheโd care to admit. โIt makes no sense to be in my favorite place in the world and still miss home so much, even if I wouldnโt go back for anything.โ She said quietly to herself, not aware of someone listening nearby.

Ari was thankful for Willow. Sometimes, the word thankful wasnโt enough to express how he felt about his sister-in-law. Ever since Natalieโs death, he had dedicated his entire life to either take care of his kid or to provide for him, but somehow it felt as if it wasnโt enough. Everyone kept telling him he was doing good but a part of him knew it wasnโt enough, it would never be enough. Then Willow came into their lives and it suddenly felt like Ari could make it through, that he wouldnโt entirely fuck up and ruin the life of the one person he loved the most in the world. And it was on his plans to show her every time he had the chance.ย
Which was why he found himself on his day off from the restaurant cooking, Arturo sat on the counter as he watched him, trying his very best to figure out if Sam-I-Am would end up convincing anyone to eat green eggs and ham whilst simultaneously asking Ari the type of random questions only a six-year-old could think of.ย โPapi, why are the eggs green?โย โPapi, where does ham come from?โย โPapi, do you like green eggs?โย โPapi, can we have green eggs and ham for dinner?โ each and every one making his grin grow every so slightly. It wasnโt until the sound of the door opening filled the room that Arturo finally stopped his questioning, urging his dad to get him down from the counter to go and hug Willow.ย โTรญa, dad says eggs get green because they get angryโ he heard his kid speak, making the sous-chef chuckle whilst shaking his headย โCome on, monkey. Go finish your homework, dinner will be ready in twenty minutesโ he urged, turning his eyes to his sister-in-lawย โI didnโt know what to say and you know how he gets, he starts... bombarding you with questions. I made dinner, Malfadini with broccoli rabe pesto. I hope youโre hungry. How was your day?โ

Ari sighed loudly at the otherโs exasperated retort before reminding himself to stay calmย while looking at the scrap of paper on his hand, trying to make sense out of his bossโs handwriting. Normally, it was the boss boy whoโd get their orders, but he was running late so he offered, as aย โsorry for being late againโ gesture. He went through his large order again before taking out his wallet, turning at the manย โAnd add the one black coffee for him or whatever he decides to order, why not? Holiday spirit.โ
It was insane how long people took to do the simplest tasks in this city. Though Eli had been born and raised in New York, he was still irritated by how slow some people seemed to function.ย โYou know, itโs a coffee, not a test.โ He said leaning forward to the person.ย โJust order it black and go. Some people donโt have time to wait on you.โ He said lowly.ย

โIn my head, Iโm in Puerto Escondido. Thereโs a beach. beer and tlayudas, just like mom used to make them. Thereโs people playing soccer and you can almost feel the waves wash away every concern you haveโ he shared his own fantasy, taking a deep breath before returning his attention to the girl with a sympathetic smileย โSorry I canโt help with your dream scenario, Iโve never been to Paris but Iโve heard the views are amazing. The pizza part though, I do relate. Today is paella day in the Pineda household and I havenโt been this excited about dinner in a long time. Do you make your own pizza?โ
โYou know, in my dreams, Iโm in Paris; Iโm in Paris, unwinding in a nice bubble bath with a glass of ridiculously expensive champagne with a hot, amazing guy across from me looking out at an amazing view and absolutely no cares in the world,โ she sighed, picturing the scene, again, in her head. โBut, in reality, I have no man, no expensive champagne, and my bathtubโs faucet is broken and the maintenance guy bailed. Not to mention I share a bathroom with my brother, soโฆโ Naomi huffed frustratedly. โThe only thing thatโs getting me through the day is that itโs pizza night for my brother and I. Pizza solves almost all of my problems.โ

Moving herself closer, she rested her head on his shoulder. She didnโt have to be at work, so she had all day to sit here with Ari. She always enjoyed spending time with him.ย โIs it? I always thought it looked kind of challenging.โ Addy swore she didnโt have a musical bone in her body. Watching as Ari handed the guitar over to her, her eyes widened, she sat up straight and she hesitantly took it.ย โYouโre going to regret this,โ she said, letting out a laugh.ย
โYou learned to play when you were nine? That explains why it literally looks like second nature when you play.โ Addy definitely appreciated how open he was with her. It seemed like she was always learning new things about him.ย โYou have to tell me all about this reality show.โ She had a million questions, but was going to wait for him to tell her if he wanted to.ย โWe can try that. What do I do first?โ
He pressed his lips against the top of the blondeโs head, shrugging every so slightly at her question. โI guess it depends on the person, but there is a reason why itโs the most played instrument in the world, you know? I mean, itโs not the harmonica but itโs also not a harp. Or would you rather play another instrument?โ he questioned, passing an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him. A chuckle left the maleโs lips, eyes focused on the blonde with the guitar on her handsย โAs long as you donโt like, intentionally break it, I think I can handle whatever you throw my way.โ
Sheepishly, he hid his face on Addyโs shoulder, smiling to himself as he heard her compliments., whispering a smallย โthank youโ onto her bare skin. Then, a louder chuckle once the reality show was discussed; a sigh followed shortly after.ย โWhat do you wanna know? It was a weird time in my life, it was a way to help mom, it paid the bills and then some but it wasnโt my world, it was too muchโ he mused. Then, he took one of her hands and guided it to the wooden neck, holding three of her fingers and putting them on the second, fourth and fifth strings on the first, second and third fret before looking up at her and passing his own fingers through the stringsย โThatโs the C chord, thatโs like, the basic one.โ

The fact she could be silly around another adult and not receive any odd looks in return made Vivian beyond happy.ย โIโm more of a drastic measures type of gal. The idea of getting rid of lice slowly gives me goosebumps. Iโm selfish alright, who said I want to share my scalp with other organisms, huh?โ she grinned,ย โYou really think so? Too bad I love my hair too much to let it go.โ the brunette added, letting out a soft laugh. Shaving all of her hair off was never a thought that crossed her mind; a shorter haircut sure but shaving it off was too extreme for her liking. Nodding her head, Vivian grinned.ย โGot it. Liceโs code blue, cooking chaos code green and fireโฆ is fire. What if I have a different kind of emergency?โ she questioned, tilting her head on the side with the most innocent look ever. The brunette just liked to tease him.ย โNoted. Next time I get lonely, I hope you boys can come over and keep me some company.. or help me out with food. Iโm sure Iโll need Arturoโs tasting abilities.โ Vivian replied, and smiled at him. It was nice to know Ari didnโt mind coming over to help out. Thatโs why she trusted him enough to let him into her apartment, he was a decent guy. Looking down at her glass of water, the brunette couldnโt stop smiling.ย โIโm not really good in the kitchen. I never had someone to show me stuff.โ she explained, shrugging her shoulders. The boarding school had a cafeteria, Cece had her own chef. It was kind of hard for her to learn how to cook when everything presented her with delicious dishes.ย โBut you enjoy it.. I feel like Iโm going to screw up every time.. so I donโt want to scare the kids if a fire breaks out.โ Vivian half-joked,ย โThat sounds nice.. Iโd love that, yeah.โย
Ari rolled his eyes fondly as a chuckle escaped his lips, taking the fork to his lips as she rambled.ย โThatโs why the electric razorโs only for you and the little ones who are patient enough get to keep their hair. Arturo came home with a bunch ofย โem like, a year ago and I got a ton of tricks to get rid of themโ he shared with a shrug. The chef gave his companion a swift, throughout look before nodding decidedlyย โYes, I think itโd be cool. Kinda like Charlize Theron in Mad Max? Just saying, it would suit youโ he enthused with a wink. At the girlโs next question, however, Ari quirked a brow an eyebrow in response; resting his face on his hand as he pondered for a brief secondย โDepends on the type of emergency; you can just text me key wordsโ he suggested with a chuckle.ย โHmm, weโre always a call away. Just beware, the kid is really into telling stories lately so he will talk non-stop about pirates and kings and all that crazy stuff. Heโs also trying to help with food, so youโll get at least one coconut-oatmeal-tomato-mustard pie. Itโs even worse than it seemsโ Ari beamed whilst talking about his son and his new interests.ย โThatโs okay, not everyone likes cooking and thatโs understandable but if you do need help with anything, I donโt know everything that thereโs to know but I like to think I know enough about food to solve your doubts or like, help around. You know youโre more than welcome to come home and have dinner with us any day of the week, Iโm sure Arturo would love to have you over and make you read him a story before bed or convince you to convince me to give you two dessert before dinnerโ Ari concluded with a smile. He never truly let anyone in, after losing Arturoโs mom, he decided to keep his personal/social life separate from his family, unless he truly trusted the person enough to introduce them to his kid. He really trusted Vivian and Arturo liked her, having her in their lives was undoubtedly something he was grateful for.

teresabaldiniโ:
It has been nineteen years, two months, and five days since Teresa had experienced her first heartbreak. Everyone expected her to move on and be who she had been before Paloma but she simply couldnโt. She saw Palomaโs dark eyes in the eyes of strangers. The brightness of her laugh as children chased each other in the playground. Her husky voice whenever she heard the first notes of Love My Way. The ache still ran through her body, like molten lava, filling each scar as it warms them. Not wanting to worry Pax, she couldnโt turn to him when she felt she couldnโt breathe. Instead, she found solace in group therapy, with others who have loved and lost so terribly. There she gained a friend. Well, his homemade food had won her over.ย
Ari was someone she could be fragile with. Fragile and disturbingly raw. Death was a disturbing way to bond with someone and yet, she easily found herself smiling around him during their darkest moments.ย โHave I told you that you are my hero!โ She laughed as she danced in front of him with glee. It was rather shameful how food simply brought out the good in Teresa. Food driven, she didnโt need Ari to ask her again. โGod, you are prince among men! Pfft, Dr. Montgomery is a quack!โ She winced as she realized she was yellingโฆ again. She glanced around as if she expected the man, with his gray mustache and oversized glasses, to materialize out of nowhere. Then with a loud clearing of her throat, she placed her hand on her chest and uttered in a deep, condescending voice. โAri, I congratulate you on sharing your feelings. It takes courage to be so profound about your pain.โ With an eye roll, she reached for a cookie and took a large bite. โWhat a fucking idiot. Oh! This is amazing!โ
Ari stressed-baked, there was no way around it and no use in hiding it. Some people cleaned, some others went for walks, Ari baked. Most nights he could get an arguably good night of sleep, around 4 to 5 hours a night and he was thankful for every hour. However, when there was a special event coming up, it was almost impossible for him to sleep and he was used to spending those hours either in bed, hating every minute of it or baking and feeling useful and slightly less anxious. Sometimes, when the stress was too much and tiredness would get the best of him, the chef would black out and wake up to ten batches of brownies. Therapy was a stress factor in his life alas every time heโd come to a meeting, there was some sort of pastry that accompanied him. It was only luck that the product of his stress-bake got him a friend, a friend who understood what he was going through.ย
The male smiled in return to the brunetteโs movements, a chuckle escaping his lips. He had seen her on her worse (and she had seen him during those times, too), so it was always nice to see her grinning and lively, it was refreshing. โDoes that mean I have to wear a cape? I donโt know if Iโll like thatโ he mused with a smirk. Then, a grunt as they began talking about their therapist โI fucking hate himโ he echoed his own thoughts, rolling his eyes fondly at the girlโs imitation.ย โAri, a car is just a car. Thereโs nothing to be afraid of. Take the wheel of your own life!โ he mimicked the Dr.โs condescending, dull tone whilst shaking his head and taking one of the cookies.ย โDid I tell you he tried to imply the accident wasย โgodโs planโ? Which yโknow, if you believe that, good for you.. But do you really wanna tell a widowed their spouse dying is someoneโs plan?โ he mused before shaking his head in disbelief, chewing onto the cookie.ย โI swear if it wasnโt for you, I wouldโve lost it from the beginning.โ

Addy enjoyed these escapades with Ari. He was a good guy, and not to mention handsome too. Glancing at Ari, she watched as he grabbed the small guitar and was surprised that he was going to play it. Honestly, Addy felt lucky because she knew he didnโt do that for everyone. In a way, it made her feel special.ย
Ari was ridiculously talented, and for a moment, Addy wished she could contribute somehow. Unfortunately, when she tried anything musical something sounded like it was dying.ย โThatโs so beautiful! I really donโt know how you do it,โ she said, smiling at him.ย โYou should teach me one of these days. Iโve always wanted to learn how to play an instrument. How long have you been playing?โ She asked, curiosity evident in her voice. Pursing her lips, Addy pretending to think his question over very seriously.ย โHmโฆno. Surprise me.โย
Ariโs features softened slightly as he mirrored her smile, resting his back on the headboard, patting the spot next to himself, an invitation for the blonde to come closer.ย โI swear itโs not hard. I think the guitar is one of the easiest instruments to learn. If I can do it, anyone can do itโ he promised with a chuckle. Then, he rose a brow at the request, tilting his head to the side slightly.ย โWhy wait? You never know what will happen tomorrow so, letโs start your lessons now, come onโ he enthused, handing the instrument to the blonde with a grin.ย
At Addyโs question, the chef couldnโt help but smile bashfully, scratching the back of his neck. He really didnโt like talking about his music nor his past life back home, but he trusted Addy enough to tell her the truth.ย โA while now. I had to learn when I was like, nine. I was... in a reality show, kind of? And they asked me if I could learnโ he shrugged.ย โWhat about you learn a few chords and then Iโll play you a song.โ

A soft laugh escaped from the back of her throat, she did sound kind of dramatic on the phone. Making a mental note to fix that in the future, the brunette relaxed her shoulders. โLice? Chickenpox? Would you come and help me shave my hair off?โ she joked, tilting her head on the side. โBut I like the idea of having codes. That could be fun.โ Vivian agreed, resting her head on top of her hands. When it came to cooking anything at all, the young woman tried her very best. It was always hard, finding the time but looking up new recipes was fun. Doing little things for others was the best way to show how much she cared, whether it was pancakes, or helping them around with something else they needed. The reason she called Ari for this, was because the brunette trusted him and actually wanted his opinion. If not him, then who? โI know, but youโre busy.. you have your own things to deal with. I donโt want to add on your stress.โ she admitted, pressing her lips into a fine line. He had a child to focus on as well, an adorable one, so Vivian understood how precious time could be for someone like him. Another smile appeared, once he took a bit. โYeah.. I usually donโt really cook for the kids.โ she explained, โThey are?โ Vivian questioned, before leaning in to take the piece. โSeriously?โ her eyes widened a little, surprised with her own achievement. โNo.. I can barely cook for myself, let alone make batter..โ the brunette admitted, swallowing slowly. โTheyโre good.. I didnโt expect them to be good.โย
The brunet considered the proposition for a few seconds, followed by a small shrug and a chuckleย โSure, Iโll help you shave it all off. I think that would be badass. Iโd say there are other ways to get rid of lice but now I kind of wanna see you with a shaved head, I think it would suit youโ he smirked.ย โOkay, codes. Lice could be code blue.ย If you ever text me that, Iโll come with an electric razor and some oil for the little ones. Kitchen-related emergencies can be... code green. Unless something is burning, then call the fire department first and thenย just text meย fireโ he warned. At Vivianโs words, Ari couldnโt help but roll his eyes fondly, shaking his head lightly in response.ย โIโm not saying Iโm not busy because that would be lying and I donโt do that to anyone other than Arturo, and thatโs for his own good. But that doesnโt mean I canโt come help whenever Iโm free. I can say the same from Arturo, heโs diligent and he loves helping people. So, donโt worry about it, alright? If you ever need help, weโre hereโ he promised with a final nod. The chef took another piece of the pancakes and shoved it on his mouth, chewing silently as he nodded enthusiastically โThey really are good, Vi. You canโt go into a recipe expecting the worst outcome. More than once Iโve had to re-do something because my heart wasnโt on it. I know it sounds stupid but I swear, cake wonโt rise if you have a bad attitude about itโ he chuckled at the realization of how crazy he sounded.ย โI can teach you how to make pancake batter if you want, I swear itโs easy and itโs a thousand times better than pre-made batter.โ
