3 -- Trials of Mercury
âWhen was the last time you had a social interaction?â Eri said. Her voice was tinny over the communicator that sat in Sulettaâs lap. It was a crystalline thing, not recognizable as something made on Earth. Since it wasnât. âAre we still talking about this? Iâm fine,â said Suletta. She was sitting in the driverâs seat of her car, blowing softly on a cup ramen that she had prepared in a convenience store. It would take at least 20 minutes for her sister to reply. Thatâs the time delay, when youâre sending messages between Earth and Mercury, where Eri lived among glittering crystal spires in the hidden Mercury kingdom. In the time it took for Eri to reply, Suletta finished her breakfast and tapped into the DRVR unofficial forum. It was a place for the drivers who used the app to talk about the stuff that the appâs corporate owners didnât like to see spoken of in public. There was nobody behind the app itself, but apparently they had a whole team sweeping social media to make sure no one was saying anything unflattering about being a âvehicle associate,â which was their word for âemployeeâ only they couldnât use the e-word because there were actual laws for employee protection that DRVR did not follow. âYou canât just bum around the city looking for bad things to happen so you can stop them,â Eri said. âMaybe itâs not happening for real when you use your second sight, but itâs still happening in your mind! Youâre still experiencing it. It stresses you out. You need, like, human connection. And donât say youâre mercurian, I will slap you across space. Isnât there anyone you can talk to who isnât a billion miles away from you? You canât keep peacing out of life like you did with school.â âI⊠know people,â Suletta said. Online. âAnd you canât say online either!â Eri interjected. She had added that as an addendum to her larger message. That it cut in just after Suletta had said it was an unnerving coincidence. There were times she was quite sure that Eriâs second sight was stronger than hers. Or perhaps she just knew her baby sister that well.

5 -- Maintenance, Care and Operation of Farm Machinery: A Practical Guide
Calibarn and Aerial were gone. It was possible their like would never be seen again. But Suletta didnât need a gundam for her purposes. Not these days. Demi parts were easy to come by these days, and they mixed and matched across models readily. Suletta spent so much time in a Demi Trainer in her school days that maintaining one was second nature. She had been offered a more advanced Burion mobile suitâthe benefit of having friends in high places stillâbut she graciously turned it down. Simplicity, durability and ease of maintenance was more important out here than the bleeding edge of technology. She had made her own modifications, mostly for the sake of improving visibility. The cockpit hatch, for instance, had been done away entirely, giving her an unimpeded view of the world outside, save for a roll cage put there for safety. There were no plans to take this thing up into space, after all. A Haro fluttered by, hovering on its little rockets. It gave her a report on the field that surrounded the house. Temperature, moisture, ph balance. âConditions ideal,â it concluded. Just what Suletta wanted to here. âRight. Time to get to work!â She made her way slowly up a gently winding catwalk and into the open cockpit, settling into it heavily. There, she winced, then reached behind herself. Her fingers buzzed with the pain of nerve damage, but through the leaden sensation she found something that didnât belong. She held up her shaky hand to find that she had sat on a colorful plastic object. A little beet mascot, shaped like a heart and wearing sunglasses. Printed across its front were words that said: âYou make my heart skip a beet!â Suletta smiled. âHuh! So thatâs where that was.â She dusted it off and put it on the left console of the Demi, where it joined, among other plastic figures: a little mascot carrot, a watermelon with googly eyes, a cornstalk that had a ukulele, five different cartoon tomatoes and a cup of ramen with noodle arms. Suletta tapped a tomato on the head and smiled. Then she started the Demi. It hummed to life, the fine-tuned sound of its reactor belying the rather grimy exterior.

Day 05 - Firefighter/Medic au (art WIP)
au in which firefighter!Suletta takes surgeon!Miorine by storm, a short fanfic(?)
It was a quiet day for Miorine. Matter of factly, itâs been this way for days. Quiet, silent days and nights spent inside her office trying to come up with a way to solve a particularly complicated puzzle. A little child â he reminds her of herself when she was his age, when she lost her mother Notrette to an unknown disease. It was her ulterior motive to join med school, though the bald spots she gained due to stress in order to achieve her flawless performance was an extra bit.
Sulettaâs life on the other hand was loud, all the guys and girls from the station were that way; she guessed all firefighters had to have great lungs so they could communicate with trapped people were they to encounter such a situation.
She used to be the rookie of their squad, the one who would do the work nobody wanted, as everyone was more interested in the action, the adrenaline. However she was proactive and a fast learner, so after passing her training she quickly escalated to a position where everyone relied on her, she loved that. Her squad became the family she left overseas. Besides that, Suletta also gained their trust and love through her cooking, activity she cherished doing for the people she loved.
The quiet day for Miorine was a loud one for Suletta, after someone had called emergencies from the hospital over a gas leak. The procedure had to be simple enough: evacuate the people from that wing while their rival company would investigate and control the origin of said leak, nevertheless chaos was imminent. While the evacuation was an easy task for the pedestrians, it was more complicated for the patients with reduced mobility and those with hearing disabilities. Suletta was in charge of the people that was left behind, wherever that might be, so after putting on her equipment she stormed through the hallways to find any person that might have not been aware of the situation.
Of course, one of those people was Miorine, still so very focused on her task ahead, she was not aware of the lights, the chaos and the alarms that rang outside her office. She didnât even notice the presence of the woman standing at least 20 cms taller than herself who tried to call for her attention with a soft voice not to startle her:
âMaâam, have you not heard the sirens?â
âMaâam, we need to evacuate right nowââ
âMaâam!â
Noticing the lack of response from the other and given the emergency of the situation, she assumed the other just could not listen and decided for a more physical approach. She swept the doctor off her feet, in more than a sense. Though the sharp cry that came out from the white haired woman was unexpected, this didnât stop the firefighter from quickly placing an oxygen mask over the delicate nose and lips and start taking a run outside.
Miorine wanted to yell, she wanted to kick the stranger where it hurt the most so she could stand on her feet again, but how could she? How could she protest to be held inside the gentle arms that carried her outside? How could she protest when she was so enthralled by the kind eyes that reminded her of the sea? And more importantly, how could she protest when she was so sleep deprived that her body passed out as soon as it found comfort?
It simply did not happen.
That day she dreamt of the ocean.
