Ngl as a ex-anti endo, pro-endo spaces are just way more positive about being a system. Its been a lot easier to just accept ourselves in pro-endo spaces than when we were in antiendo ones. Because being a system can be a good thing!! It is a good thing!! So many anti endo communities view it as Terrible but its personally probably saved our life. And while there are sysmates I dislike I certainly would be way lonelier if I wasnt apart of a system.
I honestly think that anti endo spaces are significantly worse for recovery than pro-endo ones from a traumagentic perspective. Because a lot of anti spaces really want to ignore various aspects of being a system.
Anyways all this to say pro endo spaces are awesome<3
DEFINITELY. Every other anti-endo post I've seen has been pluralmisic and/or insistent that plurality is inherently horrible.
When... no. No it isn't. And I'm saying this as someone with OSDD, and even as someone who's had issues with their system before. These things can suck ass, obviously, but they're not ALL bad. I'd rather not be dissociated half the time, but I'd ALSO rather not deal with all of this alone.
And it's hard not to notice that pro-endo spaces understand this more than anti-endo ones.

Tulpacourse is seeing the anti-tulpas casually suggesting the tulpa name was taken from "Chinese Buddhism" and hoping so much that this was an example of misspeaking or ignorance.
For the record, the etymology of the tulpa is based on Tibetan Buddhism, which is distinct from Chinese Buddhism.
If this is merely a mistake, it would at least be forgivable. People make honest mistakes all the time. People misspeak or make typos. It happens.
What I sincerely hope is that this isn't an example of backing CCP talking points and erasing Tibet. But something I've noticed from a lot of anti-tulpas is this tendency to try to genericize the origins of the tulpa and remove Tibet from the equation. For example, it's common to refer to tulpamancy as just being drawn from an Asian religion without specifying what religion it is.
When I've cited where the Dalai Lama has said other religions can use Tibetan Buddhist meditations...
Tumblr media
I've had people come into my inbox to parrot CCP talking points used to justify the occupation of Tibet, accusing the Dalai Lama of being a slave owner, to discredit his statements on his own religion as its highest authority figure.
I've watched anti-tulpas dismissively refer to the Dalai Lama, who was forcefully exiled from his home of Tibet by the Chinese government, as an "old Chinese man."
As much as I want to give the benefit of the doubt, it's hard when so many of the anti-tulpas seem to be taking talking points from the very people who are oppressing and committing cultural genocide against Tibet.
And we're probably going to see more CCP propaganda on Tibet across the internet in coming years, as China has recently setup a hub in Tibet for pushing its propaganda internationally.
I want to make it clear that this blog supports Tibet and the autonomy of the Tibetan people. We oppose the cultural genocide of the Tibetan people, and are firmly against the suppression of their religious freedom and right to protest by the Chinese government.

hey, comin off that last (?) post, but... what is endogenic? and why are people "anti-endo"? how does that work? what does this mean?
i do not understand, but i want to. at least, as much as i'm able.
Endogenic refers to plurality that has its origins in anything that isn't trauma.
For example, a system that feels this is just the way their brain works. Or someone that has plural experiences that relate to their spiritual beliefs.
Some people are 'anti-endo' because they have a very specific view of plurality through the lens of trauma, disorder, and pathology. They don't accept that some people have experiences which are different from theirs.
Often they are young people dealing with some very challinging disorders, upset that there are not nearly enough resources available for help with things like DID and OSDD, which is absolutely true. However, in their anger they target other systems and plural people who are considered more weird or less respectable to the mainstream, instead of the ableist societal institutions that are actually at fault.

Actually in all honestly, to my friends that are all very “but DID and endogenic systems need to have separate spaces”, sure- I see some merit in having spaces that are specifically for DID systems, Traumagenic systems, and systems that are traumatized
But you have to recognize that traumatized systems does in fact include many endogenic systems, and any space intended to be for traumatized systems or exclusively for DID systems will have systems that:
- believe they have DID but are actually just endogenic
- believe they are endogenic but actually have DID
- are both endogenic AND have DID
- can't be bothered to label themselves
- are in crisis and don't have time to figure out if they "count" as having DID or not
- are endogenic but desperately need support from a trauma-informed community that knows how to work with their system
The “separation of origin” argument doesn’t really work out imo, and I don’t really like that some people have started to take an “endogenic systems are fine but they should stay out of our spaces” angle- you’re hurting all systems here! (DID systems especially, because I know some people only care about DID systems)
And as a side note, traumagenic and endogenic are *ORIGIN* labels, but DID is a disorder label. We know a number of endogenic systems who went through trauma in their 20s and 30s that now qualify for or have received a DID diagnosis despite not having been formed by trauma. Not to mention, we as a DID system have been most supported by endogenic and mixed communities because they seem actually focused on supporting each other instead of just sniffing out “DID fakers” or something- which is an actual issue we’ve encountered a NUMBER of times in DID spaces.
Even we as a diagnosed DID system will not be “DID enough” for many DID spaces!

"Did you ever have an imaginary friend?"
The beer can was thoughtfully swirled. "No," she said eventually. "I tried, though. It just - it didn't work."
The wind blew over the stoop, cool and smelling of rain.
"'Didn't work?'"
"I wanted it to work, it - I was six, and I was in my dad's truck, and we were in the Wal-Mart parking lot at night - I don't remember why - and I thought, 'I should make an imaginary friend,' so I looked through the window and-"
She frowned. "Fuck. This sounds like a joke, but I made a Vaporeon. It was just a fully formed, perfect Vaporeon in a parking lot of a Wal-Mart. And I was so happy and I opened the door to make it jump in so I could take it home with me.
"But there was something - wrong with it. I'd made it perfectly, but I forgot to make it alive. It just sat and stared and I begged it to jump in the truck with me before my dad drove off, and it sat and stared, and we drove off and I was so sad and confused and - disappointed."
She wiggled the tab of the can. "It's still there," she said quietly. "I drive past that parking lot sometimes, and that same Vaporeon is still sitting in that spot. I've seen that parking lot get full to the tits in the middle of the holidays, I have never, not even once, seen someone park in the spot it's sitting in."
A car drove by. After a moment the frogs in the ditch started to chirp again.
She tipped her head back and downed the rest of the beer. "Anyways, that's what I think god's deal is," she said.

When I say “free water, free food, free shelter, free healthcare, free education for everyone” in that “everyone” I even include the people I hate. Too many people get surprised at the idea that I do wish for the people I hate to have better lives.

A kind reminder
That systems who use parts language aren't less of a system
That systems are allowed to enjoy and benefit from a parts-focused framework
That parts language means different things to different systems, and no one defines it the same way
That anyone and everyone is allowed to use parts language
That parts language says nothing about the validity, autonomy, or realness of the system, alters, or parts
That parts language is only dehumanizing if you view it as such, and that you need to be incredibly careful about how you talk about parts language and those who use it
Parts language is personal and unique to each of us, much like healing choices, like fusion or functional multiplicity
Don't let anyone make you feel bad or wrong about a framework that has helped you
Show the same respect for parts language that you would about any other personal choices

You know that inner monologue is an normal thing right, nothing of tulpas and multiple people in one body
https://jerichowriters.com/internal-monologue-examples-and-tips/
You know an inner monologue is a monologue, right? Mono, meaning one? My host had an inner monologue before I existed. There's a difference between a monologue and a dialogue between multiple separate conscious agents.
And honestly, this "monologue theory" I've seen some sysmeds spout, that posits systems are just experiencing a basic inner monologue and too stupid to know the difference has to be one of the most ignorant syscourse takes I've seen that really just proves you don't bother listening to plurals at all.
