Watching my toddler figure out how to language is fascinating. Yesterday we were stumped when he kept insisting there was a “Lego winner” behind his bookshelf - it turned out to be a little Lego trophy cup. Not knowing the word for “trophy”, he’d extrapolated a word for “thing you can win”. And then, just now, he held up his empty milk container and said, “Mummy? It’s not rubbish. It’s allowed to be a bottle.” - meaning, effectively, “I want this. Don’t throw it away.” But to an adult ear, there’s something quite lovely about “it’s allowed to be a bottle,” as if we’re acknowledging that the object is entitled to keep its title even in the absence of the original function.

My one friend group can't stop saying, "See you in hell!" in a cheerful voice instead of, "Talk to you later!" and my other friend group can't stop calling things "penis" instead of "cool" or "good", so I just unironically uttered the phrase, "Sounds penis, see you in hell," as I got off the phone.

i think its really beautiful seeing your before and after transition timeline photos becayse it really does look like you went from being a manic pixie tumblr dream girl and then you fell into a vat of terrible green sludge, a goo or ectoplasm perhaps, and the aftermath of the horrible chemical exposures turned you into some kind of park ranger thats been genetically spliced with the guy from little shop of horrors . it feels like youve broken some kind of spell and were able to find and manifest the true shape of your soul like fiona at the end of shrek, but for you that shape is something like victor frankenstein and newt geizler played by the guy who the devil went down to georgia was about. i think gender really suits you and so do your cargo shorts. blessings and love, happy tranniversary from a fellow brother of the sludge 6 years this august
