I got given Hunt the Wumpus as a group project some three years ago and always wanted to remake it myself in a nicer language. The og one used Java Swing 😭
It was super fun tackling the implementation all over again in Gamemaker this time, especially the new roguelike mode. Crazy what a few years experience can do to totally transform how you approach a project. Imagine knowing how to maintain a codebase
My first published game is now LIVE on itch io!!
Endless Hunt the Wumpus is a short, simple game about trying to escape a cave system (while a horrible monster lingers around with you). Play a standard game, or incorporate new elements into the cave system via a roguelike choice mechanic. (I'm curious what the highest number of caves a player can escape from in one game is...)
It's available to play in browser or download for Windows! And it's free!

This here blog is the new hub for my creative projects. I've got a (free!) game lined up to share on itch in the coming days, as well as a longterm writing project in the works - which I aim to start releasing before the end of the year.
