Something that's important to determining if you're lesbian or bi is speaking to both lesbians and bisexuals.
For me, I thought "i could in theory do sex acts with a man if he kept his pants on, didn't make noise, and if I closed my eyes really tight" meant I was bi. Speaking to bisexual women made me realize that the bisexual experience isn't "i could suck it up if I had to."
I also felt i should identify as bi "just in case." Sure i had never wanted to date a boy in the past, but "what if?" Speaking to bi women made me realize that they actually desire relationships with men. It isn't a "but what if it happens?" experience, but instead a "this desire has manifested for me in the past" experience.
The more time I spent around bi women dating men, the more I realized the ways that I differed from bisexual women and their experiences. This is why a unified sapphic community is so important! We learn from each other and can help each other realize what experiences are consistent or not with a specific label. My experiences didn't match the experiences of any of the bisexuals around me, and that was a sign to me that I likely wasn't bisexual.

one of the most fucked up aspects of being an adult is really how life-goes-on everything is. like you can be dealing with the most fucked up trauma-drama-grief and still have to sleep and eat food to survive and like. poop. pooping while you're really sad shouldn't be a thing but it is. we don't have a say in the matter. life goes on

i think makeup can be artistic expression i also think sometimes people are lying about it being about artistic expression and would in fact be a lot happier if they had never been told they had to wear it

Genuinely like you are going to have some of the most boring coworkers and neighbors in the world. You are gonna have annoying people who are loud and have the most reddit opinions and personality you can think of and who are just as awkward as you and who may make jokes in poor taste. But you still gotta be able to just like talk to them about the weather and shit. Hear people talk about their kids or their jobs or what movies come out recently. Obvs this has limits with like outright bigots but as a general rule you gotta cause that's the only way you can build real life community. You'll never be able to borrow a cup of sugar or host a block party or organize a union by only talking to people who you like. If you wanna build a better world with those around you you gotta learn their names first.
