"Do you have anything planned for the end of the month?" Steve's voice reverberated through the cave he called home. Two glowing yellow eyes peering down at his temporary companion.

"Nah.", Lambda replies, not even bothering to look up from the notebook he was nose deep in, puffball pen clutched firmly in hand. "I'm just gonna chill at home and maybe get some ice cream."

"Ah." There is a touch of hesitation in Steve's movements. "Well I thought, perhaps, you would throw a party? If you wanted to?"

"Nah. Last time I did that, it was a total bust. I know what works for me. And that's just chillin' at home, y'know?"

"Well, if I'm a Dreamcast boy, then what does that make you?"

"I guess." He gives a small shrug, rising and falling in the most halfhearted manner he can muster. "It's ugly as fuck out here."

Ugly. Eye-searing. All sorts of negative connotations come to mind but are promptly kept quiet. Instead, he opts to slink underneath the shade of a nearby tent. It was far more preferable to tearing his eyes out right then and there. Far less messy to boot.

"But, like, dude, I don't really come here all that much so I dunno what the hell a Capsule Corp is in the first place." He's all too tempted to call it dumb again but he refrains, if only for the moment. Arms crossing over a pale blue t-shirt. "Sides, I dunno why you had to drag me into it. Couldn't ya have done it at like, night or somethin'?"

A pause as he leans his head up to take in the tent he's hiding under. "They really had to pick orange for this fuckin' thing? Ew."

"Uh, villain reasons?" Gamma 2 swings his head over his shoulder, hitting Lambda with the most 'duh??' look his metal-and-silicone face can muster. In a quick pivot on his toe, he's fully facing the cyborg, cape still spinning behind him.

"Blowin' up cities, smashin' defense grids-- y'know, prepping mankind for the taking?" Each item's punctuated with pantomimed destruction. Explosions, crumbling buildings-- and a few other motions Gamma 2's fingers made that maybe didn't translate as well as he thought they would. "Have you forgotten what Capsule Corp is really up to?"

The evidence board he'd co-authored with Gamma 1 falls just short of blipping into existence- Gamma 2 notices something about his companion's demeanor before he can fire up his hologram projectors in earnest.

"... Hey, do you need sunglasses or something? You're all scrunched up."
