Recently realized my problem with junior year: why so many villains?

I mean we've got the six rat grinders, Porter and Jace, Principal Arcturus Grix and Ankarna, even the night yorb if you want to get technical. that's 11! almost double the number of main characters. As it stands, we're barely clued into what Oisin and Ivy have going on, and the campaign feels cluttered, like it doesn't have enough time to rest.

And why? Based on fandom response and player engagement, I think Kipperlily Copperkettle with grinders as support would have more than sufficed. It's not hard at all to imagine her coming up with her own evil scheme, unsupported by adults, and it probably would have beaten ass.

Brennan has even said that he requested Emily keep playing Fig for Junior year (she wanted to switch characters, feeling figs story was done), so that she could participate in the Porter reveal. If you just kick him forward to Senior year, everyone gets what they want, and the "Barbarian healing" reveal has another full season to stew. Now, because Emily is quite reasonably burned out playing Fig, we probably won't have Fig for senior year. Goofy!

I mean this is assuming senior year is guaranteed, though that seems like a safe assumption to make. I just hope things are a little more contained for what will be the send off for the original intrepid heroes.
