Like fuckin hell I would rather be alone and be myself than be miserable trying to conform to other peoples standards who wouldn't even value me for ME.

I really appreciate you sharing the before/after pictures of your transition. I haven’t been able to start hrt yet, though I’m hoping to this year since I’m (finally!!!) 18. When I bring up transitioning, a fairly common response is how I’m such a pretty girl and it’d be so sad to ruin that, so it’s very comforting to see an older trans guy who was also told that, transitioned anyway, and doesn’t regret it at all (and, if I may say so, is now very good looking)

I'm happy to say that my spouse and I have been together for 12 years now. We met when I was 3 years on T and still very much growing into myself.

It sucks when someone reduces you to your appearance, as if that is the only way in which anyone has any value. It sucks when your future is pitted against someone's discomfort, as if you need to set yourself on fire to keep someone else warm.

I hope you're not internalizing any of these messages about ruining yourself. You're not obligated to be the version of you that other people have in their heads, a lesson I think anyone regardless of gender identity should take to heart.
