I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.

el ghirba synagogue in djerba, tunisia. when exactly it was founded is unknown, but it may date to the 6th century bce, making it the oldest functioning synagogue in africa. it's associated with toshavi jews, the maghrebi jewish community which predated the arrival of and was eventually absorbed by expelled sephardic jews.

hi lore!! i started word of honor (drama) finally for unrelated reasons and i cannot stop thinking abt how excited i am to read ur fic once i am finished… that aside i am a little over 1/3 way through and enjoying it so much. i am not sure if u have watched or only read the novel/differences between the two..but i am having a lot of fun and think the actors are really great (wen kexing’s character is..he is so funny…) peace and love on planet earth…ok bye !!!!!

i watched it as it was coming out and then i rewatched later with MY MOM ("wait, so, lao kexing [sic] and a-xu aren't even going to kiss?" - my mother circa 2021) and then of course i've rewatched my favorite parts a bunch. gong jun's wkx is literally so good it's definitely his best role DKFJDFKJDF

the book is quite different!!! they're both super fun in their own ways but yeah they definitely had to change A Lot for filming - like, the whole plot w the liulijia got expanded on and made more important, it was essentially just set dressing in the book LOL
