A buncha sketches of the space mechs! And a Cosmos redesign, I like to imagine he can be more alien. Hence the tail-like thing, inspired by space suit tethers. There’s also a lot of contemplating Soundwave’s design, mostly his . Antenna (in satellite terms I believe) and solar arrays— which I like to think most space mechs have in-built solar panels so they don’t have to carry tons of energon all the time or make several trips. Generally I just like thinking and making up biology for these alien guys 👽

I’m forming a sort of team….. basically just a buncha bots who’ve had spacecraft alt modes but I kinda redesign them again.. I haven’t gotten to some of them yet like Cosmos but Soundwave was a satellite so he gets included (technically he’s a triple changer, having also a jet/flight mode), and Jetfire a space shuttle/spaceplane! I may or may not have been inspired by some uniforms for their designs (Space Force uniforms & lab coats/a little bit of space suit— Cosmos might end up the most space suit inspired). I’ve also been considering how Soundwave’s system with his cassettes would be; the best solution I’ve got tbh is they’d be called Capsules instead 🤔

Many bonus doodles too cuz. Yeahhhh… I’ll probably go more into depth about their designs some time 😛 Cosmos is also cheating I know he has a size shifting ability, I read about it 😒

(Also no the thing in Soundwave’s chest is not a matrix it’s just from his ROTF robot mode design; but I do have ideas for it. Something something enigma something IDW)
