Sometimes you take a chance based on a trailer and “hey, written/directed by women,” and it totally pays off. I love Aimee McPherson and Rosa Herrera. And Sister Aimee, as a movie, is pretty good. The ending is what really saves it and makes the whole thing work. 

Plus, for the whole movie, I kept thinking, “This is not gay in the same way Fried Green Tomatoes is not gay.” Then boom! Kiss!
