In the most recent five years, a lot of institutional transformation has taken place in many aspects of University education delivery, Research and Management. We have deployed different technologies in teaching, management of student records, enhancement of examination and assessment management and institutional collaborations and Partnerships.

Many of the KIU’s Alumni have also been a significant contribution in promoting and elevating the University’s status in various scopes of life, relating to life after university. There have also been several support initiatives jointly undertaken by KIU and Government of Uganda in partnership with other regional Governments, creating and sustaining public confidence in the University.

KIU is a fast growing institution attributing its growth to the vision and zeal of Board of Trustees, the University Council, and a steadfast Management team under my Leadership, to ensure that the University reaches new heights of higher education delivery not only in Uganda but, also in the entire African Region as a University of repute.

With a vibrant Management team, a dedicated  staff and studious students, KIU has over the past 18 years superseded the imagination of many, and by January 2019, being ranked the best and premier Private University and  the 5th best University overall in Uganda. The investment in infrastructure, financial, material and human resources is undoubtedly parallel to none.

Established in 2001, KIU has made her presence in Uganda and the East African region very impactful, with a wide range of Academic Programs, two Campuses in Uganda and one in Tanzania (now an autonomous University known as Kampala International University in Tanzania-KIUT).  KIU Colleges, Faculties, Schools and Institutes attract both Ugandan and International students and Staff.
