Yes, it can be! Why? Positively, we gain something from social media that is really informative and can help in student's schoolwork conveniently.

How can social media be used for education positively?

It can positively be used in education such as research purposes, learn from the netizen's feedback of a certain topic, be an open-minded into something, etc for the students.

It can be used in online quizzes, homework like we called ELMS in our school, STI. It can also help to be more prepared for upcoming assessments, handouts for reviewing and be useful and necessary for the future you just learn now.

I may also add that social media can help not just for students but also for teachers who are in the field of education, such lesson plans, powerpoints, making a group chat for announcements and reminders.

Social media in Philippines is a big help for the education purpose. There will be an advantage and disadvantage with the use of technology. Social media can help to spread important anniuncements and also a tool to gain data to have a credible informations. Through social media, student will not only be enhance when it comes to intelligence but there skills on discovering. Overuse of social media may also affect badly to the student through cyberbullying and cybercrime. They can also spread fake news or even more addicted to online video games. Man should overpower the social media not the social media itself overpowered humans.

The Education changes when technology rises because there is an online learning which was use when a person has lack of time to go to school and was recommend to stay at home. The curriculum of learning system today is really different from the traditional way of teaching, from the basic education up to the Kto12 curriculum where there is a use of tools like television and visual teaching strategy by using powerpoints and videos. It may be a good way to enhance the critical thinking of a student by learning on his/her own way.
