The Radioactive Man Who Returned To Fukushima To Feed The Animals That Everyone Else Left Behind

Naoto Matsumura is the only human brave enough to live in Fukushima’s 12.5-mile exclusion zone

He fled at first but returned to take care of the animals that were left behind

He returned for his own animals at first, but realized that so many more needed his help, too

Matsumura, who is 55 years old, knows that the radiation is harmful, but he “refuses to worry about it”

“They also told me that I wouldn’t get sick for 30 or 40 years. I’ll most likely be dead by then anyway, so I couldn’t care less”

Matsumura discovered that thousands of cows had died locked in barns

He also freed many animals that had been left chained up by their owners

Many of them now rely on him for food

The government has forbidden him from staying, but that doesn’t stop him either

He started in 2011 and is still going strong 4 years later

He relies solely on donations from supporters to work with and feed the animals

His supporters are calling him the ‘guardian of Fukushima’s animals’

The man clearly has a sense of humor as well

I really love how VerKwan is so comfortable with this kind of skinship, and it’s so clear that it’s just so natural to them!!! In all honesty, I really think that Boo was actually absent mindedly caressing Hansol’s thigh and playing with his hand in here, like when you do something subconsciously out of HABIT (we all know that being touchy-feely has always been the true nature of VerKwan since fetus days), instead of doing it for a show or fan service 😆😍💜

Today is the birthday of one of my beloved idols.

Today is the birthday of a great inspiration to many.

Today is the birthday of a young man, who, along with two other individuals, has the fate of his and 12 other people’s careers resting on his shoulders.

Today is the birthday of Lee Jihoon, also known as Woozi.

Who is Woozi? Woozi is a member of a group called Seventeen. Seventeen is split between 3 teams, all which make one group. Woozi is a member of the vocal unit. Infact, he is the leader of the vocal unit, which had 4 more members in it.

Furthermore, not only is he the leader as in the sense of taking care of them, he also has composed and wrote most of the groups’ songs. Infact, in a little over a year, the group had 4 comebacks, with a 5th one coming soon. That means that Woozi had to mass produce 5 different albums, with the following having to be better than the last. As a result his day consists of Practice, practice, practice and studio time and more studio time, with very little time for food and sleep in between. Infact, the group have gotten they first official break after creating and performing the four albums.

And also, here’s thing, Pledis Entertainment, the company under which Seventeen is under is kinda broke. In fact, a lot of their older groups have either not yet have a comeback, or have delayed it for so long, that little fans stayed with the group. Thus, he also indirectly has the company on his shoulder. After all, no success for Seventeen means no success for Pledis.

Woozi is also an extremely talented singer. He has a very sweet voice and has a great feeling of sound.

And I LOVE his facial expressions when he sings. He becomes so passionate, so emotional, even more beautiful than he already is on a regular basis.

Further more, Woozi sure can dance.

And he sure can jump over couches to get to his spot on time.

I find it really interesting how so many people in the beginning (like me) become really intimidated by Woozi.

 It pains me to hear people call him ugly.

But he is just a really hardworking guy under a lot of stress.

In fact, he seems like such a sweet, nice guy the group is so lucky to have him.

For those who don’t know, Woozi is someone who tries so hard to please his fans. Lets be real, compared to other idols, Woozi is pretty small. As a result, he actually looks extremely adorable despite being the scary producer of 17. Sure, he dislikes constantly being told to act cute, but for his fans he will.

Yet, actually Woozi doesnt need to be told to be cute. He naturally can be.

But then he is also sexy.

So here is the part where I say mine (and Im sure many Carats) wishes,

I hope Woozi looks after himself. 

I hope he takes care of his health. He only has one body, one mind and i hope he takes care of those things.

I hope he knows just how much he inspires many of us, how he means the universe to us.

I hope he knows it’s okay to be vulnerable, to cry. Sure, most fans will never be able to know and grasp the full extent of the pressure he feels but we can try to understand.  

So, please Woozi, dint be ashamed to cry. Don’t think that crying makes you weak or pathetic because it makes you strong. We kpop fans have seen quite a few of our beloved idols fall into some sort of mental disorder whether it is depression or anxiety disorder or insomnia or anything else. Nor do we want you to end up physically injured. Us real fans will never wish for you to be pushed to that extent. 

We want to laugh with you.

We want to cry with you(because there will always be sad times, so we want to at least share some of the burden even if it’s 1%)

We want to support you.

But we do not, under any circumstances, want to break you.

I hope that your teammates help ease your worries. 

I hope that your group members really do take care of you in real life and that the kindness is not just for show.

Woozi deserves all the awards he gets and much more. He is talented and kind and so hardworking.

When asked whether he wants to be seen as a genius composer or a foolish one Woozi simply said:

“A foolish one. Because a foolish composer works harder than others”.

If that is not dedication and passion for music I don’t know what it.

So please Lee Jihoon, be happy. Be healthy. Be proud of your work.

Lee Jihoon, you deserve the world. You deserve recognition. You deserve all the love in the universe.

You always give to us. So let us give you our love in return.

Happy Birthday Woozi! May all your dreams come true.

You mean so much to us. And I cannot stress enough just how much we love you.

160511 vapp Srsly the 95line is killing me. Not to mention how they sit tgh How yoonjeonghan is like a kid and shaking the trophy and how seungcheol and jisoo look at him right away. And then jeonghannie look at jisoo happily, Jisoo look away right immediately and then when jeonghannie switch his attention to his new love,the trophy and being cute af. Jisoo just look at him again with a small smile. And seungcheol could not stay off his hand on jeonghannie for almost the vapp. Some secret hand touching and the uncomfy position of jeonghannie placing his head but still they stay that way. And seungcheol thought he accidentally hit jeonghan’s face with the trophy and touched his face. FFS my feeeeeellssssss. Why are they doing this to me???

Ok but am I the only one thinking that during Butterfly Grave at about 2:05 Seungcheol is staring at Jeonghannnnnn and I don’t know if it’s related but then Mingyu who always seems to know a lot of things gives him a strange look and so Seungcheol starts laughing like he was embarrassed???
