We got our @redsparrowpizza fix tonight at @boneheadbrewing in Kensington, but you can find them on the reg in Collingwood and Prahran. We had their Pepperoni and Puttanesca which were delicious as always. @huntersharvest have been in Seddon for a while now and opened in Moonee Ponds yesterday. I checked out the new outlet on Puckle St and got the MVG Bowl - a collab between @melbveganguide and Hunters Harvest: scrambled tofu, sweet potato, red cabbage, kale, cucumber, cherry tomato, salsa, pickled onion, avocado, pineapple, with a mixed leaf base, vegan spicy mayo and green goddess dressing, served with corn chips. We crossed the river on Saturday night to dine at @_lonamisa_, which is located at @ovolohotels in South Yarra. Lona Misa’s food is vegan by default, some dishes have a vegetarian option. The culinary delights are created by @shannon_martinez and @chefiancurley, and wow, this is one of the best dinners we’ve had in quite some time. 🖤 Moqueca - Brazilian seafood stew cooked in a spicy coconut, tomato and lime broth, served over rice 🖤 Charred baby cos, green goddess crema 🖤 Mushroom Pinchos Morunos - moorish spiced oyster mushrooms, grilled over coals 🖤 Fried Olives - stuffed with queso fresca 🖤 Queso Con Chorizo - a bowl of creamy warm cheese dip, topped with crispy chorizo, served with totopos 🖤 Pina Colada Tart 🖤 All the cocktails we tried were just divine, but our favourite was the Rumba Caliente - Jalapeño Mezcal, orange curacao, habanero shrub, fresh lime, smoked watermelon and black lava salt. A smoky, spicy delight! We finally made it to @mammasayscafe in Fairfield last Friday. They transitioned to all vegan at the start of the year and have had rave reviews! We agree, everything we had was delicious! After being out of Melbourne every weekend since it opened, we were stoked to be able to finally visit @grazeland.melbourne in Spotswood today. The cold weather had zero impact on Melbourne’s love of food and dining out - the place was buzzing with people - and with amazing views of the West Gate and the city, it makes for a great setting for some tasty food. Now for the food we tried today! 🥟 First up we got some Pierogi from @bigveganmarket favs @pierogipierogi. Incredible as always! 🍔 A chicken burger and loaded fries from @thevspot_au, the only solely vegan vendor on site. @gawkwithhawk also scored a pupcake! 🌭 A vegan banger from @bobsbangers. Loaded with a delicious vegan banger, kraut, pickles, mustard and vegan cheese. There are plenty more vegan options to try at Grazeland and there’s a handy vegan filter on their website. During the week we headed to @theaireyspub to enjoy some bevs in the arvo sun with Hawk. To our surprise they had plenty of vegan options on the lunch and dinner menu, including this incredible Cauliflower Steak (dinner menu only). We enjoyed this lovely spread from @my_little_bento in Moonee Ponds yesterday. We got the Vegan Bento, Agedashi Tofu and Veggie Gyoza. All three dishes were absolutely superb and we can’t wait to go and try more options from their vegan-friendly menu! Well this is exciting news! You can now find @portmelbournepaletas stocked at @gumtree_goodfood (South Yarra, Albert Park, Middle Park), @boccacciocellars (Balwyn) and @wmelbourne (amazing hotel in the city)!!
