If your boys are 32 doing that in public I beg you to talk to them immediately. It’s not the end of the world but it’s common decency and hygiene.

Just because I do not believe that it is the end of the world doesn’t mean that I am not giving my boys good home training. In fact I had the principal tell me that my oldest son is very well mannered.

Having said that I have a very close 80 something relative that regularly picks his nose while driving. He also tightens loose toilet seats in public bathrooms. Both things I find gross. Especially the bathroom thing. 🤮 I still love him and would never think less of him. In fact he was highly successful in his career and a wonderful family man. Criticizing someone for a natural human behavior isn’t something I am interested in doing.

As a mother of boys I have seen worse.

All of us are human. Well most of us are. Some you are questionable.

Let’s talk reality here. We’ve all been annoyed by some dried mucus a time or a thousand. It happens. Sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.

We should all agree that it should not, under no circumstances, ever be recorded and then used to drive engagement.

It doesn’t matter where you fall in the fandom.

Just when I thought I was getting past “bat shit crazy” and easing into “kinda crazy” for Lukola they pull me back in like Luke pulled Nic in for that hug!

Things that I loved about today’s Bridgerton event:

1 - Blonde Pen with the Queen.

2 - the redecoration of the Featherington House.

3 - S4 staying the most faithful to the book series except that show Benedict is more delicate and thoughtful than book Benedict.

5 - Hyacinth and Gregory stepping into the fray more.

6 - upstairs/downstairs dynamics.

7 - Lady Featherington. Not moving out of the house anytime soon.

8 - Lord Featherington

9 - Sophie

10 - we get a kite scene?!?!

11 - new family of villains

12 - Eloise being pushed into the marriage mart by Violet. (Maybe gearing up for S5?)

I’ve climbed back over the railing. Currently in the suite sleeping off this sickening case of sea sickness. Still Lukola endgame.

Category five hurricane Antonia has churned up the seas and spun the Lukola ship. The waves have knocked a lot of the most sat passengers completely off the ship. They are now drowning in the sea of disappointment. I have been knocked over the railing. I am holding on but my hands are very, very tired.

Now that this storm has finally hit land we will see how strong it is. Will it peter out and dwindle into a small depression? Or will it continue like a buzz saw and wipe out everything in its path?

Let’s talk media literacy

One of the skills that appears to be dying in today’s day and age is media literacy. Back when I was in college, I worked a part-time job where one colleague had a subscription to People magazine. When he was done reading it, he’d let me look it over. I started noticing something different in People than other less scrupulous (at the time) publications.

They’d use verbiage like, “People magazine can exclusively confirm…” or, “___’s teams have confirmed…” or, “We reached out to ____’s team for comment.” I decided to research why that is. Well, specifically, when a publication has scruples (few of which do these days), and actual writers who do research (not AI), publications who cared would fact check.

In a post-COVID world this is all but gone. Earlier today, I saw an article in People about those comical images dropped yesterday.

You know the ones. 😉

Anyway, there are a few key things I’d like to point out.

1. At no place in this article does it mention that anyone has reached out to anyone’s team for comment or received confirmation of details. Tsk, tsk, People.

2. The photos are credited to Backgrid. Backgrid does a combo of work either: getting called by celebs on themselves, getting called on celebs by others (DM, for example) or the rare lucky occasion they spot a celeb in the wild.

These photos are so comical because we see them spot the cameras and then start yucking it up. In fact several comments on DM’s IG yesterday noted how set up these pics looked from the get-go. And some of these folks, in fact many of them, began to question what those of us on this ship have been saying for months: could this be PR?

3. An old article is linked in this article (Time mag from Oct) where People misquoted Nicola. They said she said she was just friends. What she actually said was that people wanted her to marry Luke, and that they have a gorgeous friendship and isn’t it just wonderful a man and a woman can have this kind of ReLaTiOnShIp with each other? I don’t see the words, “just friends,” anywhere in this article. Seems like their interpretation missing a boatload of subtext.

All of this is to say that you, dearest gentle reader, get to parse through the content you take in and decide for yourself.

Nicola is feeling a little spicy about whoever that third person is (cough Luke cough) taking the picture.

I will completely flip out if the writers add Featherington staffing issues into the S4 script for Colin to deal with.

In fact I have had a secret theory that Sophie might work for Pen instead of working for Violet.

Now that we know that Luke is off filming in Rome it might not work out this way because of scheduling. But I love coming up with my own head canon.

Is it weird to repost your own post?

I stayed away from this yesterday but here I am today.

I am all for speculation by analyzing the clues we’ve been given. No wonder they don’t post personal things anymore. Truly a case of one bad apple ruins the bunch. Except we keep finding bad apples and N&L keep pulling back.

Imho, because we all have them, contacting hotels and restaurants to get the scoop on L or N is so far beyond an acceptable that you’d need an atlas (showing my age here) to get back to where the Lukola cruise ship is docked. You might need to book a flight home because you’ve completely missed the boat.

Things that are found out ethically,that are not openly public, should say in GC.

But there is part of a line in the article that has given me pause, “and the never-ending trials of finding love and maintaining a high-profile relationship — are nothing short of remarkable.” Now I know that line is about Anthony Bridgerton; however, I have read it over and over again. I cannot help but think of L & N. How difficult it must be for them in a this chapter of life right now. For them to be separated by obligations, to be watched (or in some cases stalked) constantly, and to be navigating a relatively new romance. Sure, they wanted this, to be successful in their chosen career, but the highest of success comes with fame. I do not think any amount research into the lives of the famous could ever prepare a person for what true fame means for a person’s private life. I understand why they are keeping this private I just hope that it is made public on their schedule and isn’t forced.

Now, don’t get me wrong I will be like a giddy school girl if they are papped with good clear undeniable pictures. I just hope they write this page in their story and not the paps.

Note: I believe that they are a couple. This is my opinion; we all have them. If you believe otherwise you do you.
