Look, if you suspect that someone has done a joke edit of an image, but you can't see the difference, don't sit there playing Where's Waldo; load the original image and the suspected edit up in separate tabs with identical zoom levels, and rapidly toggle back and forth between them. Don't even look for anything in particular – just flip them back and forth as fast as you can. Even single-pixel discrepancies will immediately become obvious. Make the human brain's fuckass pattern recognition work for you rather than against you!

No way after 4 years of being in absolute love with this activity, that I would be able to join it as a performer. I was offered a contract to march with the Spartans DBC back in December of 2024 at my first camp, and honestly? I’m almost certain that I will hold that camp deep in my heart and my memories for years to come.

This is sort of a full circle moment for me. I went to my very first Drum Corps show in the summer of 2022 in Ohio, and the opening corps was The Spartans. That summer would go on to define how I spent even the smallest moments of my days, may it be how I practiced or how I would watch bakery’s on youtube. Who knew three years later that I would eventually step up, win a spot in an audition, and go on to perform for the group.

I have April and May camps ahead of me up until June move ins, and I am absolutely thrilled for every second of it. I feel as if that little eighth grader would be in awe, if that weary incoming sophomore would be proud of me for getting this far.

YOOOOO Hi drum corps tumblr!!! I’ve been obsessed with the activity for a good 3 years and now I’m here.

Anyways!!! Happy finals to the niche dci tumblr community. I recently saw Brass Impact at Olathe, Kansas. I’ve been losing hope in my skills as I’ve been practicing day after day but finally seeing a competition live after the break from finals last year, I feel like I’ve regained my spark. Loved Phantom’s show, Blue Stars were absolutely amazing, but my favorite part was seeing my friend play with the Colts. Either way, I hope everyone has an amazing finals, and good luck to anyone who is performing!
