who taught them what love is ? did it hurt ?
"My parents taught me what love is. They've been happily married for over forty years now. It doesn't hurt.. it's inspiring."
"I guess it only hurts because I've never had that."

€when was the last time they cried ?
"Three nights ago. I saw one of those YouTube videos where they want you to stay and watch the video for 30 seconds to support this old man's small business. He made stuffed toys. I watched it five times and sobbed like a baby."
"I got my period the next morning, just FYI."

Mel's face split into a knowing smile. While she wouldn't have used those exactly words, it did make her wonder he chose those. "Not at all," she shook her head. "You gotta be practical, especially nowadays. But.. there's a balance. You become too cynical and you miss the magic."
( @stephanxevans )
"One of those?" he asks, curious about what she's implying. His daily interactions with people were minimal, so his responses sometimes came off as curt and insensitive. It wasn't intentional; it was just his norm. "Are you saying I'm too pragmatic for the world?"

Her eyebrow lifted, curiosity peaked. "What would you call yourself?" Mel asks, not quite able to stop herself from prying.
"Ugh, amazing!" Mel clapped her hands together excitedly as they took another step in line, nearly at the front. "Well, that's a done deal. Now you're stuck with me for another coffee," she beamed. "I'm Mel, by the way."
( @sjwalsh )
"Not sure I'd call myself a tourist....but I guess something like that." The blonde said with a slight shrug. It was simpler than explaining that she was here to get her divorce papers signed. "Oh -yes. I mean, I have no where to be for real, but totally a yes to the coffee. Thank you! I'll get you next time." SJ said as they moved forward on the line.

πππ¦ππ¨π¨ : how does your muse handle change and adaptability - are they flexible or resistant?
"I like change I'm in control of. You know, a new hairstyle or moving somewhere else. As long as it's my choice for the change, it's so fine."
"I wouldn't say 'resistant' but like, it's pretty normal to try and keep things the way you like them, right?"

Whatβs another career that they think they would love?
"I'm not good at anything else except skating. I found the one thing I can do and I did it until I couldn't anymore."
"I like teaching, but if it wasn't on the ice.. I don't think I'd like it half as much."

π· = Is your muse likely to be the one to make the first move, or would they wait for the other to make a move first?
"I'm not afraid to shoot my shot if I think it's worth it but I do really love a person who just takes charge and says what they want. If it's like, a lot of flirting and it's not actually get to a point where we're going on a date then I'm not sure I'd bother, you know?"

How long do they think people should wait before having kids?
"Well, firstly, I don't think that's really for me to say as someone who's never had kids. And then I know some people who are amazing parents that most people would think weren't ready to have kids at their age but I also know others that were like married for years before having kids who.. aren't so great. No hard and fast rule in my eyes."

"It's stiff competition and you're not supposed to have favorites buuut it's got to be Theo. I'm pretty sure she's everyone favorite."
"She's such a little diva and I'm so glad I get to see her all the time now. She's so, so, so smart and I know she gets that from Lucky. He was always way smarter than he ever gives himself credit for."

Melody: Okay, great! There is My Parent & Me classes if you think she'd be better with you on the ice as well, this runs on Thursdays. Or we have the Little Snow Angel Group which is 3-6 year olds which is on Tuesdays. Melody: There's private lessons that we can coordinate too if you'd prefer that. ( @felix-kumara )
Felix: well rest easy because they did! Felix: she's 3, and yeah, I took her once over Christmas. I think she really enjoyed it and I've been thinking it would be nice to get her into something like that. @melodyxlewis

"Not you," she corrects, her eyes float down to the missing poster in his hands. "I thought it might say it on the flyer."
The recognition of her own neighborhood made her face light up. "I'm right near there. You know Tideway Drive? That's my street," it only occurred to her after the fact that giving your street name to a stranger could be a bad idea.
( @hinataxito )
"Me? I haven't seen it. I'm helping out of the kindness of my heart... and my wallet's cries over the summer." Hinata laughed, it'd be appreciated. I think he got away while they were walking on the beach near Fisher's Cove, which is how I've gotten involved. He's probably in the neighborhood."

Her smile twitches, begging to go wider but Mel stifles it by pursing her lips together tightly. There was something about a man who was a little unsure of him, stumbling over words, it was cute.
Mel's eyes were still fixed on her uncle. "Oh, I'm sure that's coming up. His big finale is usually an attempt at a cartwheel that results in injury, his or someone else's, so he's not quite finished yet." Despite the roll of her eyes, the words were full of all the affection she had for her Uncle Liam.
Taking his hands in hers, Mel began making her way towards the crowded dancefloor. Hearing his backtrack that he might try and flee, she gave him a look of confidence as she led him. "No, you won't," she says brightly. "Come on." As the joined the other couples, Mel twirls on her left heel to face him once she found an open spot. The light fabric of her dress swirled around her ankles.

Thereβs a split second Noah feels some level of embarrassment fall over him for letting the initial invitation fly right over his head. He really needs to stop and let things click before he speaksβ¦
βOh, uh. I didnβt bring one. Will gave me a plus one, but I didnβt know who to ask, so Iβm riding solo tonight, so I can dance. Try to dance, I can try to dance with you.β
He stifles his laughter at the man Melody points out. βHey, those are some classic dance moves. Heβs only missing the shopping cart, and then heβs got them all.β The Charleston might be pushing it with the amount of footwork involved β though, very little.
βAlright, alright. Itβs a wedding, so I should get on the dance floor. I wonβt be able to keep up with the Robot, but Iβll try.β He holds his hand out to take Melodyβs and grabs the Captain and coke he ordered with the other to head out there. βYouβre going to have to lead, so I hope youβre up to the task, and I will probably try to flee the scene.β

The two costume-clad people were on opposites sides of the room, unlikely that they knew each other. Mel thought of what an epic romance it would make. "I am starting to feel like it's our duty to matchmake them." If she was going to meddle in the lives of strangers, there was no way she could do it alone.
Mel sucked air through her teeth, a pained expression dancing along her features. "If you're not already planning then I think you're waaay behind these folks," she joked. "I know some families who start counting down the day after Christmas." Taking a beat, she adds, "Christmas is also big here."
Facing lighting up at the invitation, Mel wasn't one to turn down such an offer to dress together for Halloween. "It won't win the Best Dressed contest but it sure would be funny to us."
( @ezraxlawrence )
Immediately Ezraβs eyes go from the food to scan the crowd. It wasnβt hard to spot lobster girl but he was surprised he was only seeing her now. βWait no theyβd be perfect. If I donβt see them making out by the end of the night Iβm gonna be disappointed.β
A laugh broke from his lips as she clocked him having not been in town long. That mustβve meant she was from here. βNot really, no. Do I need to start planning nowβ¦orβ¦?β He grinned. βHang on, Iβve got an idea. You go as lobster girl and Iβll go as jellyfish guy.β @melodyxlewis

The bluntness of his commentary made her eyebrows raise high. While she did usually display a sunny disposition, Mel didn't think she wore rose colored glasses. A lot of her positivity came with a heavy side of 'fake it until you make it'.
"Ohβ" Her disappointment was written all over her face and dripping from her tone. "You're one of those."
( @stephanxevans )
"Yeah, I'm getting the sense of that." He lived in towns way smaller. They seemingly thrived without the foot traffic. It certainly was less colorful with a ton more acreage of land than they were people, but unlike him, people seemed to thrive here. His siblings were. StΓ©phan could at least attempt to engage in even a sliver of it for however long he remained in this town. "Guess it isn't if you like to wear rose-colored glasses. I find them to be an illusion. Palatable for a child, deceiving for an adult."

"Oh, a tourist!" Mel's face lit up with glee. "Even better. You'll get all small town hospitality Aurora Bay promises." All the businesses here basically relied on tourism to get through the year, even in slow season. Thankfully, that was nearly coming to an end.
"So that's a yes to that coffee? If you've got places to be, I won't keep you."
( @sjwalsh )
"I guess I can give that a try." Saphira said, figuring if the woman liked it, there must be something to it. An Americano was also hard to fuck up. "I wouldn't say that I'm new to town. More like passing by." The blonde explained. Staying in the town permanently was nowhere in her plans. She had her life and children to go back to.

Eyeing up the oceanic-inspired cuisine, Mel was a bit hesitant. She was never one for food just left to it's own devices, and even less when it's seafood. Thankful for the distraction, Mel looks up with a smile. "Have you seen the lobster girl? I feel like they'd make such a cute couple."
Aurora Bay never did half measures. Every event was carefully calculated and decorated within an inch of its life. "You haven't been here long, have you?" She asks. "Just wait until you see how they do Halloween. It's next level."
who: @melodyxlewis where: under the sea prom
"There was absolutely a guy here who took this sea theme too seriously and dressed as a jelly fish, wasn't there?" He said to the blonde stranger as he looked over the array of different finger foods that had been set out on a table. All of which were sea themed or shaped. "They really go all out at these things don't they?"
