quarantine update
so... i haven't left my house in quite some time. I'm just a bit shell shocked from this whole coronavirus thing. If you can't tell I'm going to be very informal with my language. I hope you don't mind. I'll try to make it look (interesting) at least.
Anyways, I am very angel vs devil on my shoulders right now. Like i can hear their voices telling me to do shit? WE LIVE IN A SIMULATION. OK yeah anyways I got here to Austin from Arlington on March 16. The first email I got from W&M that contains the word 'coronavirus' was sent on March 11th. This all happened really fast.I wore a mask and gloves on the plane and wiped everything down bc i was super paranoid. I took a picture:

I was staying at my grandparents house for Spring Break and hanging out with all of my high school friends before being transported to yee haw land bc my mom pulled the plug and told me to fly home asap.
I didn't have any friends to hang out with here anyway, but being cooped up like this is quITE the ExPeriEnce to say the least. Entertaining my younger sister Julia has always been a bit difficult but when i tell u the SASS is real with this one!! It's rained for the past few days and it finally stopped.
Anyways today I decided that I wanted to drive around, so I brought Julia in the car to take pictures in the bluebonnets and indian paintbrush on the side of the highway. Surprisingly there were a lot of people biking and walking in our neighborhood. Good for them i guess, but I'm not about that life. I don't like miss rona. she nasty 🥴
I was procrastinating work (I'm sorry my motivation is just really low bc AAAAH) and Julia was bugging me to paint cascarones in the kitchen or something but I just wanted to get out and drive around. I was stubborn and got my way because I promised Julia we could take pictures. So I drove a bit further than I anticipated but we were listening to Little Dark Age by MGMT and I was enjoying it. We found a patch of bluebonnets on the side of 620, and crossed to the other side of the road to pick the paintbrushes.

Julia decided to do the splits.
Ah, Texas. Bluebonnets are just so homey, don't you think? So much of my life has happened in Harker Heights, Texas, but now I'm living in the hill country surrounding the Colorado River. It's beautiful here compared to the east coast. Not that the swamp doesn't have it's charm, don't get me wrong.
On the way back I missed a turn, so I pulled into the elementary school, which I saw had a garden in the back. The parking lot was empty, so I decided that we should just blast music and take pictures in the garden. Old Rihanna was playing. what an icon. The first thing I noticed was the rainbow G A R D E N sign, and it just seemed perfect.

There were snails munching on cabbage, a scarecrow that was actually terrifying (he’s not pictured bc seriously you don’t wanna see that), red flowers, and colorful tables that Julia wanted to jump off of.

That didn't end well. We returned back with our bouquet, and my mom put them in a vase.

And then I went back to procrastinating.
