How it feels when you have two jock villagers in your town 💪💪

EDIT: I’ve seen a lot of misconceptions about what I was going for with this comic so I wanted to clear something up: This comic is not meant to insinuate that Rose is a bad person! Despite this comic being from the perspective of a character that I imagine wouldn’t get along with Rose, I, the author, actually really love Rose as a character! I think she’s fascinating and was ultimately well meaning even if the outcome of her actions didn’t always work out the way she wanted.

What I wanted to explore with this comic was: A) What would happen if Rose’s story was told from the perspective of someone who doesn’t think very highly of her, (I drew this before the movie and came up with the idea before the Pink Diamond reveal) and B) Explore how Rose’s good intentions could have both positive AND negative results.

If you don’t like Rose and feel this comic validates WHY then you’re entitled to that but I just don’t want people to be under the impression that I have anything against Rose. Just because Vidalia said something about Rose in this comic doesn’t meant that I, the author, agree with it.

A comic I started back in August of last year and finally finished last night (well, last night into this morning ^^; lol)

Like the Bismuth, Peridot, and Lapis comic, I wrote, drew, inked, and started coloring this before Change Your Mind so if anything feels off from canon in this comic…that’s why lol

This comic gave me so much hell, mostly because my markers kept dying on me throughout the process. I got through it, but it was a pain lol. There’s a few things here and there that I wish I could go back a rework but overall I worked hard on this comic and I’m pleased with the turnout even if it was hell to get here XD

a dream sequence/hallucination where steven sees his childhood self hurting and feels the need to help and comfort. as soon as he touches “little steven” the mirage morphs into his mirror image. it’s all very metaphorical.

funny how the child doesn’t trust the adults to be able to handle his problems when he’s been fixing theirs for his entire childhood. doesn’t stop me from hoping tho.

Here’s the demo I made for On the Run! Featuring amazing vocals by Katie Mitroff for Amethyst’s part. This one was kind of a puzzle for me. I originally wrote the song in D major, but I had to adjust it to B-flat major to fit both Steven and Amethyst’s voice actors’ ranges. My voice is really low so Steven sings an octave higher than me in the final version.
