ethan even tried to backpedal the ending of the argument by saying they're in agreement... after coming out of a conversation where they were largely in disagreement. hell, ethan was more combative than sam was—he even ranted about the grievances he takes with sam's perspective after they ended the call.

where is this supposed agreement or alignment? it's just so disingenuous.

but ethan knows if he conceded that he disagrees with sam more than he agrees with him, he could no longer hold the veil of calling himself pro-palestine. there's also the cognitive dissonance of not acknowledging that sam and hasan are in identical political and moral alignment for this issue. so if ethan agrees with sam then he, by proxy, agrees with hasan

but he clearly doesn't agree with sam so it's a non-starter. this "we're in agreement" thing ethan is clinging to is paradoxical, underlined by his vitriol towards hasan, frogan, anthony from dnw, and the many other pro-palestine crestors he's targeted. this vitriol he harbors was purely born of these creators being pro-palestine and anti-zionism.

go on and be honest with yourself, ethan. sam is not in alignment with you. so where's the vitriol for him that you have for these other muslim creators? just break the dam already and cut the last remaining ties to this facade of your connection to left-leaning beliefs. you self-admittedly hate leftists anyway. why are you so desperate to maintain this connection to sam, who is ideologically aligned with the same people you attack for their ideologies?

look for proof no further than how they treat women with severe reproductive health issues that would greatly benefit from a hysterectomy—even just a partial hysterectomy at the bare minimum. women are often denied over the span of years to decades for treatment, because said treatment may ~impact future fertility~

sometimes they have the audacity to require permission from the husband to treat reproductive disorders

even getting these disorders diagnosed isn't a worry for doctors until it starts to show signs that it may impact your fertility. i was denied hormone testing for years and years when i had painful pelvic issues and irregular periods. only when i completely lost my period did the doctor finally order hormone tests

losing your period is a no-no! that means you can't get pregnant! violently painful periods that only come out in giant clots? that's fine. as long as you still have periods at somewhat regular intervals.

they see us as little more than histrionic incubators

and don't get me started on the role of insurance in all of this. even if you find a doctor that would be willing to help diagnose or treat your reproductive issues, insurance may deny it because it's not seen as a priority concern

i've got two new coffees in a new category: instant latte powder

obviously these require the extra step of acquiring hot water, so they're not the greatest in terms of accessibility. i've been meaning to get my hands on a portable electric kettle to make things a bit easier in that regard, but even still, we've strayed a long way from the ready-to-drink-in-a-disposable-container standard we started at.

alas, such is the complication of budgeting! if i had it my way, i'd just be buying a case of la colombe every week.

anyway!

starbucks crema salted caramel, and maxwell house international french vanilla! no caffeine content disclosure on either package, though i assume around the 60-80mg range. maxwell house at 120cals for 2tbsp, and starbucks at 70cal for the same serving. starbucks also has 10% less sugar content.

when i first tasted the starbucks latte, i think i managed to sip exclusively foam, and it tasted absolutely awful. i almost didn't even drink any more of it after that initial sip because it was just that bad. glad i went back to it, though! the actual coffee was good. i'm quite partial to the bold, slightly bitter flavor of starbucks, so it was nice!

the maxwell house on the other hand... reminds me of the flavor of when i accidentally pour too much milk in my coffee, and it just tastes watered down and bland. it's- ehm... passable. it's fine, i mean. just not my preference.

la colombe still has my heart, but i now welcome starbucks crema lattes into the rotation. unfortunately, starbucks is about double the price of maxwell house, so it's a shame the maxwell house tastes so... well, not that great

fighting for my life to find a good coffee drink since i can't stand up long enough to make myself coffee... but i literally need coffee to be alive.

preferences: less than 150mg coffee, less than 150 calories, and needs to be available and affordable.

so far i have tried: chamberlain, pop & bottle, costa, and la colombe.

chamberlain coffee is pretty high up on the calories per fl oz, and it tastes SO BAD despite all those calories. it's also the lowest on caffeine content for being a coffee drink. emma, what is you doing!? (160-170cal, 70mg caffeine, 11floz)

another one is pop & bottle coffee, which is so good! and i like that it has "health" additives like mushrooms and vitamins. but the bottles are quite small for still being around 100cal. (100-120cal, 80mg caffeine, 8floz)

costa coffee is pretty bog basic. tastes good. no notes, really. similar cals to chamberlain, but more caffeine and actually tastes good. (150-160cal, 85mg caffeine, 11floz)

la colombe is my current preference just because the vanilla flavor has the least calories per fl oz than every other drink in the list, and it's also the most commonly available brand. every other drink above i have been fighting for my life with walmart and safeway to actually find in stock. (110-130cal, 100mg caffeine, 9floz)

i would like to get more of the pop & bottle coffees, but they're just so scarce. they were like $3 for two cans when i first tried them a few weeks ago, now it's about $6 for a single can, and even if you order it, there's a high chance the order gets cancelled for being out of stock. i hate that shopping online always gets impacted by demand pricing.

i know it's an uncomfortable thing to point out—but there are a lot people right now trying to sell you sweatshop products to wear to "show your support for palestine", while they pocket the money. even if they do donate their funds, the platform you're buying the product from, like the tiktok shop, takes a hefty cut from fees.

there are people lying about being in contact with families in gaza and setting up fundraisers where they claim all the money is going to the family.

please- i'm just- i'm begging for a little critical analysis.

donate to organizations that are confirmed already inside the gaza blockade: UNICEF, PRCS, MSF. as aid trickles in, these globally recognized organizations have been and continue to be among the first that are granted access through. many doctors from MSF are given access to travel even during blockades
