Screw Reshade...

Now I remembered why I deleted reshade in the first place.

Camera spins out of control when you left click and drag with the mouse, not to mention it makes it REALLY difficult in CAS especially when you are trying to morph your sims body… it’s like the sensitivity of the mouse can’t be controlled.

SOOOO what do I do?

I asked for help on the Reshade discord and was told by an Adyss, who came across slightly rude by saying…

“That’s probably not caused by reshade.”

“Delete it and see if that actually fixed it because I doubt it.”

So I uninstalled reshade for the 3rd time now and would you look at that!! No more out of control spinning. 

Sad day bro… with that being said, I hate when developers act like their programs don’t actually cause a problem… maybe it’s just poor customer service, I don’t know, but either way it sucks.

Oh, I finally finished it. 65 … I made a selection of outfits for witches, magicians, sorceresses, fortunetellers, as well as some Halloween costumes. Some outfits came out more historical than magical, but I like this image of a witch. I know that you can still collect very many very many outfits, especially if you take not only dresses, but my post has turned out too large (sorry). I am sorry that the accessories are hard to see, so here are all the screenshots in normal quality.

Bohemian Bungapartment That’s what I want to call this. I am in LOVE with this apartment. I made it for my sim, Lily, and I love every ounce of it. What kind of sorcery is this ?

Okay, people usually don’t say it that way, but while posting my pictures for the TS4 Edit Challenge, a received some messages asking me how I do that.. Every picture is different, but most of the time, the first steps are really similar. For the moment, we will focus on that !

I use Photoshop, so some of the tools I use can be specific to this software. But most of my tips can be done on other programs.I will try my best to explain everything, but if you are not familiar with a graphic editor software, this may be too complicated.

For each complex function in Photoshop, I will try to give you a link to the official help page, in case you need more informations.

But as you can imagine, before editing something, you need some screenshots from your game ! I will begin with this, but before that, I need to explain some of the technics I use, so you can understand why I take my screens in this way.

For this tutorial, I will only focus on technical stuff.

Expanded Mermaids

Hey all! I’m back to modding! After trying to update the mermaid mod for Island Living, I’ve come to the decision to start something new and fresh. Don’t worry, a lot of elements from my Mermaid Lifestate will be introduced to this mod eventually, but I’ve incorporated EA’s mermaids and elaborated on their lifestate as well. So, today I bring you this creation! This is a mod that allows mermaids to dive anywhere in the Sulani Ocean, swim from one lagoon to another VERY quickly, and even adds a new siren power that gives you more influence over humans. It is an override of the Mermaid trait tuning file that adds more water-related interactions, as well as a new set of powers, and will conflict with any other mod that alters the trait_OccultMermaid file. I plan to expand more and more on this mod, eventually giving you as much content as my outdated Mermaid Lifestate mod and probably more. But for now, let me explain what this mod currently does.

Now, any clickable spot on the ocean will be diveable for mermaids! They will swim to the spot and go below the surface, embarking on a little rabbithole journey similar to the beach cave in Sulani. While diving, you will get little notifications about your sim’s exploration!

After returning from a dive, you will get a notification telling what your sim did/found on their journey. There are several outcomes and different items you can find, which I intend to add to in the future. One of these outcomes will give your mermaid a special new power… Your mermaid sim may learn a new siren song on one of their journeys called the “Mesmerizing Melody”. This song will put humans into a trance, allowing you to force their love, make them fall in love with someone else, or even fatally break their heart! One more interaction I added is the ability for mermaids to “Speed Swim’. If a mermaid is swimming, you can click on another part of the ocean as far away as you want and direct them to "Speed Swim Here”. Your sim will dive underwater and resurface where you directed them to instantly! Unfortunately, the Vampires pack is required in order to use the “Mesmerizing Melody’ interaction and anything connected to it due to some animations and resources used. BUT, I did include a version of this mod that just has the diving and swimming interactions, which only require Island Living. ONLY USE ONE FILE.

Like I said, I will be updating this is the near future, adding more abilities and powers, more outcomes and notifications for diving, and just generally improve and add to the mermaids. I have a LOT of plans that will take me a while to complete, so I hope you all can be patient with me. I’m still pretty new to modding, so I can’t promise perfection. Also, I’d love to hear any suggestions or critiques from you guys for the future of this mod!
