Some obscure details about Jackle’s design I’ve noticed lately 🤔

A long time ago I saw some discussion over whether Jackle’s face is supposed to be invisible or not, and turns out that while it is invisible in Saturn NiD, it’s filled in with dark gray/black beginning in the PS2 rerelease. His eyes are larger and more outwards-facing, and his teeth and smile are made smaller (👎). There are some other changes too discussed below the read more

In Saturn, his horns transition between colors with a gradient, while PS2 onwards makes the sections more defined. His Sonic Lost World model also uses the more defined sections, while also getting rid of the small black band near the top (again, 👎)

PS2 onwards finally gives him fingers. His cuffs are also now yellow/blue instead of orange/white (maybe light blue), and the inside of his cape is white instead of black. Despite all the confusion with his cape’s patterns it does use the same design in both Saturn and PS2 (until it’s removed). Overall, he also seems to be closer to red than orange in PS2 onwards but that might just be me lol

Almost every Nightmaren recieved some kind of design change between Saturn and PS2, with those changes going on to be seen in the SLW models, and will probably be seen again in any future NiGHTS content featuring the NiD 2nd levels 🤔
