i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again wildest dreams is a masterpiece because it tricks you into thinking its a really happy song with lines like “standing in a nice dress staring at the sunset” and “he’s so bad but he does it so well”  and of course “red lips and rosy cheeks” like it just sounds so happy  but if you really listen it’s the saddest song ever and it’s sad because its so happy but she knows it wont last

the only thing i love more than “just you and me and a guitar” time with taylor is when she has us sing with her like at super saturday night when the crowd sang the chorus of i dont wanna live forever or during you are in love on the 1989 when they screamed “silence” and “way home” the crowd is so mesmerized and captivated by taylor and we know every single word to her songs, even the echoes and background vocals its so special

if you are actively hating on ME! as a song/lead single please go back and listen to some of Taylor’s interviews when it just came out she is literally going “i wanted a song that would make me feel good when i perform it” and honestly thats enough for me

But what shocked me the most was how often I wrote about the things I loved. I noticed things and decided they were romantic, and so they were.
