i love how brennan introduced this whole rumors mechanic likely under the assumption the players would just base their interactions on them without questioning it but instead they’re all just having their characters walk up to each other and say “hey is this thing i heard true”

something about reliving moments with old friends while also making new memories with the addition of others is just so. idk. its like adding a new chapter to a book you presumed had been left discontinued or abandoned. the old crew of the zephyr going one-by-one, showing their theories to olethra, reminiscing the old days of when they would dream so big before those dreams were shut down...until suddenly they were dreaming again. they were reliving those dreams. enhancing them even. and just the way olethra had asked "can i write something in this?" with that twinkle in her eye and that eagerness and hope that the rest of the crew had just rekindled in this exhibition...

and dont even get me started on maxwell. that thrill of finding something new, of going into the unknown, of not knowing what you could possibly encounter...everyone out there is dreaming and imagining and using their creativity when you cant even begin to imagine what could lie ahead. what kind of place will you see? what kind of creatures will you encounter? and that is just. so fucking cool. to not know and to have so much space for every possibility you can and cant think of
