would shinji be upset if Asuka died? Or would he just be like ; "oh." i mean, Asuka has treated Shinji so badly from time to time , even though we know she had her reasons.

Shinji would definitely miss Asuka if she died.Via the original series, while afraid of her, Shinji still admired her. When Asuka went into her coma when your synchronization scores plummeted, Shinji visited her in the hospital (End of Evangelion). When faced with death, he cried out for her (”Asuka, help me”) and was even reprimanded for “wanting to hide behind the skirts of a girl at a time like this” by Misato. During Instrumentality, the only memory he seemed to have issues fusing away from was when confronted with her after Kaji’s death when he accused her of not helping him and she said it was up to him. Even though they had their differences, Asuka was someone Shinji wanted to similar to —- although their personalities clashed giving them a constant, abusive tension.The Rebuilds of Evangelion give us a new Asuka to work with (Shikinami instead of Soryu) and Shinji still looks to her for help, although this relationship is less sexual. When Asuka tested the new Unit (04?) and was tainted by an Angel, Shinji still didn’t want to defeat her because Asuka was inside and tried to stop his father from issuing the switching over of controls to the Dummy System based after Rei II (You Can (NOT) Advance). 14 years later when he’d awoken from his Berserk induced coma, he was beside himself to see Asuka alive although she was less than thrilled to see him alive (although this time in the opening battle, she was seen asking Shinji for his help similar to the End of Evangelion scene where Shinji begs Asuka to wake up) [You Can (NOT) Redo].

In your rules, what does 'FAR' stand for?

The FAR (First Ancestral Race) are basically what you could consider “gods” in the Evangelion’s time line. Basically, they were the first “race” to ever exist on the Earth living on another planet that bore the Fruit of Knowledge and the Fruit of Life, those seeds that are implanted in the EVA’s and are the core of the angels (NGE game). In the original Evangelion time, Lilith and Adam were descendants of the FAR which made Kaworu and Rei’s DNA similar to that of the angels (and/or identical if there’s a particular theory you’d like to believe). In the Rebuilds of Evangelion, Shinji is rumored to also be infused with FAR DNA which gives him the power to activate a Berserker EVA through sheer force unlike in the original series where it was Yui residing in the EVA that brought forth the ability to go Berserk.Being infused with FAR DNA gives someone the ability that akin to an Angels, such as that light beam that leads into a cross and the ability to regenerate limbs but only if they sacrifice bits of their humanity in order to divulge past a certain limit in their Entry Plug. In the original series, going past the limit resulted in your body evaporating in the LCL giving a sense of early Instrumentality (Episode 20). In the Rebuilds, Shinji goes beyond the limit in order to resurrect Rei II’s body which had been absorbed by an Angel (You Can (NOT) Advance). Going beyond the boundary gave Shinji a red glow to his eyes, like Rei’s and Kaworu’s, and a chance to use the particle beam to help aid in the defeat of the Angel.

ooc. The debate over what ME!ME!ME! is about is still going strong a few months later when people have apparently ignored the fact it’s produced by Studio Khara, which is owned by Anno, who hates otaku culture so much that he completely took NGE in a different route intended because he was tired of people oversexualizing his characters when he wanted them to realize these are children with mental illnesses and shouldn’t be your waifu or husbando, which are both really racist terms yet people still use them because apparently it’s funny some how lmao. ME!ME!ME is the deconstruction of otaku culture and is basically trying to say that yeah, you can oversexualize girls but you’re probably going to end up dead and alone and forgotten by your loved ones while clinging on to what you imagined them to be.

ooc. This new wave of both forgiveness and acceptance that’s coming around that has the most guilt-tripping feel to it that I’ve ever felt and seen in my entire I-forgot-how-long-but-a-long-time tumblr career. As if people don’t have a right to be picky about who they roleplay with, whether they get to disable right click, and patience with copy-cats and thieves. PSA: NO ONE HAS TO FORGIVE ANYONE. No one has to automatically trust anyone. No one has to follow “tumblr etiquette”. Aside from the whole fact that tumblr is a safe place and it should be, a person should be allowed to make it as safe as a place as they wish and if that means disabling right click, selectively following and responding, and tolerating nothing, then so be it? If these aren’t policies you approve or feel comfortable supprting, just unfollow the person who institutes these rules.
