An advanced photographic technique allows a researcher to create what is colloquially known as a “biological negative,” in which biological entities (in these cases, the people sleeping in beds) are obscured, while the normally unseen abiological entities are rendered visible.
These entities are found in 100% of the photographs taken, leading one optimistic team member to refer to them as “guardian angels.” Current understanding suggests this label is wholly inaccurate.
