Metamy Week 2025 Announcement!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had or will have a great day! Today's the day! The announcement of this year's Metamy Week themes!

As announced before, Metamy Week this year will happen from 15th to the 21st of September.

As for the themes, one of these appeared 2 years ago but I've seen a demand for this theme to appear so here it is!

The themes for the week are:

Day 1 - Art Day 2 - Family / Game Day 3 - Help Day 4 - Virus / Secret Day 5 - Alternative Universe Day 6 - Vacation / Shopping Day 7 - Love

Themes are vague on purpose to push people into a direction but let them create whatever they want in that sphere.

As before, you are allowed to create your work that applies to both themes in the days that have multiple, or create for only the one you like most.

The week will be happening on Bluesky and the Metamy Community Discord server as well! I will be reblogging every single post made for the week!

The tag for the week will be: #metamyweek2025

On Discord you will be able to post your works when the week starts on the #/metamy-week-2025 channel! You can join the server here!

On Bluesky I'll reblog with the @/metamyweek.bsky.social‬ account, follow it!

As always, have fun, I can't wait to see all the works!

Is 1 month enough time?

From the previous metamy weeks I've hosted, it seems like it is. I've asked a few artists about it and they were fine with it.

You don't have to make art or fics for all of the days for you to participate! If you want to then do them all! Or make the one you'd like to make the most.

For some, like myself, it's not enough time (I'd probably need over a year) and so I focused on at least finishing one.

Do tell me if there's a need for time extension

After asking about it again it seems like it'll be better for the themes to be announced sooner, so they'll be announced around 2 months before the first day.

Hello everyone! I got a new contest for the artists! I need an icon for the Metamy Community discord server and the Metamy Week accounts on tumblr and bluesky, so I'm making a contest for it.

I need a drawing of both Metal Sonic and Amy Rose together close to each other. They can be hugging, standing next to each other, whatever. The drawing needs to work in an icon/pfp format.

The drawing has to be yours, it can be a purpose made drawing just for an icon or it can be a full drawing, but it has to be able to be cut in such a way, that it works as an icon. I will only accept sfw artworks. I'd like new drawings but I accept your old ones as well.

If you submit a drawing, you allow me to use it for the discord server and the metamy week accounts on both tumblr and bluesky. I will give credit in the description of the accounts.

On the discord server, you are able to submit the drawings on a specific channel for the event. On tumblr or bluesky, you need to tag the metamy week account (this one) on the site you submit the artwork for the contest on.
