Juhyeok keeps his eyes set on the other as if his life depended on it, despite pretending he was just being very attentive. He could feel it, that air of uncertainty, the looming dread, the unease. Anxiety was a good, constant source of sustenance in how it could easily creep up on people. The pleasant sensation inside of him seemed to begin, he discreetly started to get comfortable, relieved.

"If it bothers you, surely it is not stupid. Not here, not with me. You know that, right?" Though he'd leave it in the air. After all, the conclusions the other would draw were the most important thing – Juhyeok just had to steer him toward one or the other. When he mentions a question, Juhyeok's head tilts innocently, interested. Now, they were getting somewhere.

"A question, you said..." One that poured everything in front of him, made him try and face his demons or be drowned by them. He left feeling worse, he said, and Juhyeok could attest to that. Why, he had a feast that day, the negative emotions surging from him were a delight... If only he could've kept him there for longer. He takes a deep breath.

"Tell me," he leans further forward, observes as if the other were his prey. The quiet hunger makes him swallow dry. He just needs to nudge lightly, poke the bear a bit. "Do you think you can tackle that question this time around? What exactly did I ask? Do you feel like you could repeat it for me?"

there was something about how juhyeok looked at him like he was waiting for woobin to do something or maybe . . . woobin was just fucking paranoid . maybe that was part of the issue . still , his fingers kept rubbing over each other like he could smooth out the anxiety settling beneath him . ‘ I don’t think it was just one thing , ’ he murmured eventually his voice much more quieter than beforelike he wasn’t fully sure he wanted to be heard . ‘ It’s not like I woke up and thought , " oh, therapy, let me just ruin my whole day . " ’ his eyes darted towards his feet . ‘ It’s stupid , ’ a little sound of a "sir" escaped his lips but only barely— he added . though the bitterness in his voice hinted he didn’t think it was stupid at all . ‘ last time you asked something . . . something I didn’t expect it at all and I couldn’t answer it. I guess everything I’ve been trying not to think about just . . shoved itself in my face— . ’ he clenched his jaw glancing back down at his lap . ‘ I left feeling worse . ’

but truly he was doing this to himself .

it was way back where his manager ; park jungsik pushed him into it , therapy . woobin always brushed off the concern— he thought therapy wasn't for him and he could've NEVER done it . he looked so sick when showing up for his schedules : skipped meals for days or even the entire day , passing out on stage , erratic mood swings and long nights filled draining him out with absolutely no sleep . he’d become so drunken to meet his standards and exceed expectations his once beautiful obsession with dancing and singing had just grown monstrous.

When he explains himself, Ju-hyeok keeps a trained gaze at him. The boy's glare is intense against him, dark, and pleasant. Something about his attitude felt nostalgic. He'd welcome it if he wasn't supposed to encourage the opposite.

Quietly, he takes a deep breath, the tense air felt nice. Instead, he tries to portray himself as a bit on edge.

"It feels like a lie to me," he starts, seeming hesitant, but determined. Avoidance comes in the subtle form of a break in eye contact. He had enjoyed it enough for a moment. "You are hiding something from me, aren't you? Why? You know the least I'd want to do is judge you. I only wish to help. I'd appreciate it if you were just a bit more honest."

“really? you had to shoot them in the head?!”

"I didn't feel like watching them bleed out," Danila huffed with biting sarcasm. Yes, he was fully aware that the location of his bullets wasn't likely the part that the man disapproved of.

"It was mercy," he continued, glaring at the man from under his brows. "Believe me."

Those hadn't been nice people, and nothing would bring them back, so why bother getting upset?

When Woobin speaks, all attention falls on him. The room, the recorder, even Juhyeok himself disappear into the background. The man sits in front of him, watches the uncertainty, the nervousness. He can feel it in the air, pleasant in its torment. He gives himself a minute to take it in, masked behind understanding and tranquility.

"I see you've been doing some good self-reflection." His voice is gentle when he celebrates the small milestone of reaching his office. Despite that, he does not smile but study the other. The fond memories he has he knows are no more than monsters for the other, remnants of his struggles. "You returned, that in itself is a move forward, I'm sure you've noticed. So, why don't we start with that?"

A mandatory pause comes by. As if they were underwater, he keeps a steady, but slow pace. Never once does his glance falter, not for long, anyway. "You said you almost didn't come... Talk to me about the reasons. Was it simply a sensation, a restraint wanting to keep you from returning? Or, perhaps... our last session was too heavy?"

the door clicked shut behind him a little too hard . he took his time glancing around the room like it was some kind of strange place to him ( entirely it was ) it was so clean and well put together . he didn’t look at other man until he was halfway into the seat . at the comment his brow arched . ‘ i almost didn’t come if that’s what you want to hear . . . but I figured if I didn't— I probably wouldn't ever . ’ he rubbed his thumb over the side of his finger . woobin was nervous . eventually he sat down with his gaze averting somewhere over to the wall . he hated how vulnerable it made him feel that thin line between opening up and falling apart had consumed too much last time . and yet here he was again .

He'd been staring at the door with bated breath. When it opened, he sat in attention, though he tried to feign normalcy to the best of his ability. His eyes were lit up, anyway. Ju-hyeok allowed for his patient to come in, waiting for them to take a seat before standing and walking over the video camera. With a quiet click, he watches as the red dot starts to flicker, it's his cue to speak. "It took you a while to get here. Were you planning on not coming at all?"

PERSONALITY

A calm, relatively approachable, but reserved individual, Ju-hyeok is a man who puts other people's struggles in front of his own... Or that's, at least, how it seems. Professional in his demeanor and work-oriented, he is described as a man who's heart bleeds for his patients, always determined to help them in any way he can. When he is not working under that facade, he is a man of scarce emotions, who revels in the suffering and manipulation of others. He's got a bit of a complex in wanting to cleanse the world of "trash" while also being as deplorable as the people he considers unworthy.

BIOGRAPHY

Abused by his father as a child, Yun-ho reached a tipping point in which he ended up killing his father when he was a teenager. The enjoyment he got out of his father's suffering and his own liberation marked the course of his life. He met another child that was just like him, abused by his father. Infatuated by him and his situation, he ended up killing the boy's father and trying to gaslight him into believing he himself did it. It didn't take long for him to realize that his needs were very different from other's. His energy depleted easier and the nutrients provided by food weren't enough. Despite the abuse and lack of food, he could survive because of one thing and one thing alone, aside from anger. For lack of a better term, Yun-ho is an emotional vampire, quite literally. He finds nourishment and pleasure in siphoning the negative emotions surrounding him, preferably strong emotions like the ones his father carried, caused, and exerted against him. When he grew, Yun-ho took upon identity after identity, while establishing himself as a great psychologist and therapist who, initially, only took care of teenagers. He coerced these children into committing murder, to be liberated of their hell – like he himself did when he was younger. This was a safe way to keep himself fed and alive, as children's emotions are easily malleable and much more unstable. Yet, this only barely sustained him for a day or two at a time. Now, he also tends to adult patients here and there while currently donning the identity of Ju-hyeok. The reasoning behind this change was the fact that, once he started tending to Su-yeol, he realized he could get higher quality of the sustenance he needed. Even though it takes longer to manipulate adults, and it sometimes doesn't even work, the quality of their negative emotions is higher and much more filling than the children's. Plus, he finds actual, depraved pleasure in the suffering of fellow adults, which fills him for long but also leaves him craving more.
