Photos I took yesterday morning and at dusk of my favorite little bird, the Carolina Wren. [It pains me as a Kentucky hoops fan (Cards & Cats) to have such an affinity for a bird whose common name includes “Carolina.”] I’ve considering using its scientific name, Thryothorus ludovicianus, but I don’t think that would fly (no pun intended) with my KY friends and family members! I haven’t posted in a looong time. My #Kazakh daughter Milena is away at college, and I have taken up birding on my property. “Coup”, our Cooper’s Hawk, drops by almost daily, I think, because he senses Milena’s (and my) love of the #Kazakhstan tradition of eagle-hunting.
