Finalisation
I have completed my submission with the following - showreel, portfolio (website), Animation, essay and completed Tumblr blog.
I am pleased with my work I have completed for this project, I'm quite proud of my final response as I feel it correctly follows the D&AD eBay brief and I worked really hard on this, as I found it quite challenging at at many points because I'm very used to doing animations based on my own ideas with different characters etc and this time I had to follow someone else's ideas to an extent. It was definitely a learning experience that will help me in my career as I will be following briefs given to me by companies.
I have enjoyed this brief and challenging myself and using Maya for the phone animation, as I do want to push further in 3D work in the future and this allowed me to explore more of animating camera movements and exploring the lighting.

Here is a WIX website I have made as my portfolio, I'm really happy with how this came out, it took a lot of editing and deciding what work of mine to put on. I separated it into a home page that had a bit of both animation and my digital drawings and the an About Me section in which i explain my Qualifications/Education. And then lastly an Animation Portfolio where I have put my most recent animations with a title and a short description.

This was my previous portfolio which felt too busy and overcrowded with older work. I wanted to make an actual website that can have separate pages and be more spread out, simple and user-friendly.

this was hard to cut down to 1.5 mins but I didn't want it to exceed 2 minutes as this is too long for a showreel. I took Chloe's advice and separated my showreel into sections.
The first section is 2D animation, then 3D animation, and lastly my Nuke composition that is both 2D and 3D. This definitely flows better as before I had a randomised order of my animations.

Here I am creating my assets in Procreate and saving them as PNG files with no background so I can have them animated moving across the screen in After effects

- This section of the project is more about selling the concept and the idea than showing pre-production and how you’ve made it. It’s basically n explanation video, talking about the brief as a summary and how I have re-defined it. Talk about my research and how people engage with video, show how I addressed that. Could have typography on the screen or talk through video.

What to show in the production video?
Mock ups! - like this example from a giffgaff brief on DI&AD, show the app on a laptop (as I already have the app shown on a phone in the animation portion.
