I’m really struggling to get everything to the right length. The length of the shots I’ve made aren’t long enough to get to the full time. I really am not sure on what to do about this issue as the time isn’t enough to make more when I thought it would add up to the right time frame. As well, the film seems really inconsistent and becuse if everything being too fast, it looks messy to me. It’s annoying because I know I definitely spent too much time trying to perfect throngs too early on and then ended up with a lot of work I needed to do with the bigger or more detailed shots.

At the moment it stands at about 45 sec which is way way too short. Not sure on how to solve this issue.

This has really upset me because I wanted this film to be great and what imagined at the start, but I think given the circumstances of my extension and the learning of a new skill and program just overwhelmed me. I will submit what I have at the moment and work on it to hopefully show at the viewing.

I found out that I wouldn’t hit the time at such a late point after compiling everything, which felt and looked like it would make the mark at the time, so I didn’t have enough time to make anything new or edit what i did have as I’d exported everything and edited it to fit the scenes I had.

This meant I’ve had to add some really last minute things in there that really pull it down, like the image at the start, I wanted to add imagery as I mentioned ages ago, but because I didn’t end up thinking I’d need these, I just made an image of what I had and tried to make it fit.

I’m just annoyed at these small mistakes that have lead to this in the end, something I really really wanted to be proud of and happy with which has turned out that I’m extremely upset with.

I will be explaining this in my essay and pdfs.

line work for 'touch' scene - this is from a shot in my animatic where Genesis kisses cordelia and imbues her with self love and spark. this is somewhat of a transition scene in itself but it is arround 3 seconds so its much longer than some of my previous ones at least

Massive technical issue -

my pencil for my ipad is not connecting or working at the moment and am trying to fix this issue. i will have to think of an alternative to getting the work finished if i cannot resolve this problem.

Shot of Cordelia sitting up- this will come before the scene I posted a while ago where she’s laying down staring up at the ceiling. I was going to add the shot of her getting up from a different angle like in the animatic I posted last semester, but this looks better.

I am currently re working all of the backgrounds too - I think I might just draw them instead of imagery even though I like the idea. It’s just the change of scenery from my home back in derby - I don’t have access to that room as I’m not there so I will have to remove all of the drawings from previous animations and composite them either onto new photos of my current room OR just draw them.

Drawing adds benefits of not having to edit the hue, tone and saturation etc, but it means more work on my part to get the backgrounds done alongside the actual animations.

I will get all of the line work and colouring done first then see about this issue. I can edit all of that in either way.
