When I first saw you, you had no face.

I'd search for you everywhere. Everyday. I just wanted to be with you, or, that feeling your presence gave me. I would run through the woods with your hands on mine, I remember the feeling burning under my fingertips, how much it meant to hold you. Holding something i love feels like summer, it feels fresh even though is hot and fuzzy. I remember the sunlights turning green after kissing the leaves from that one big tree, and it exuded so much life. I remember the feeling of your inexistent lips, a simple projection that my mind cannot process, I remember the smell of you neck, I remember the feeling of having you looking down on me even though there were no eyes. I remember everything.

In the end how could I forget?

I've been waiting for you my whole life, I've been trying to find you inside hearts that weren't in fact yours, I've been trying to find the best match to your angelic face, I've been trying to find the best voice to match yours, I've been trying to find the body that would dance for me and talk to me as it moved around the stars. It wasn't the same, but it was enough since I have never had something as close as the fullfilment you provide. And I wouldn't do anything different than I did.

Because If I did, it wouldn't feel the same. It wouldn't burn the same.
