As a LOTR enjoyer, I very much enjoyed War of the Rohirrim. I recommend it!

The movie begins with a narration that this story is a campfire tale. It VERY MUCH achieves the feeling of a campfire tale. Its folklore, it reminds me of biblical story or Greek mythology. Helm Hammerhand is NOT depicted as a man, but akin to a demigod- exaggerated and dramaticized like tales of old kings often are!

It fucks massively. Yeah, I have criticisms but nothing that doesn't make for fun parking-lot conversation. Go see it!

Forget about Wulf let's appreciate how hot Hera and her family is. Eldest brother Haleth? Brash and bold warrior? Hot. Middle brother Hama? Gentle hearted poet? Hot. Cousin Frealaf? Calm, loyal and just warrior soon to be king? Hot. Hera herself? Wild rebellious princess who deeply cares for and protects her people? Hot!! No losers in the royal line of Rohan!!!
