i’m starting Aoi’s route and you know what.... keiichi makes a good point.

All of this is really convenient as if Aoi planned for Keiichi to die.

The fact he transfused him with this omega vampire blood, the fact he had this collar already ready to be used.

I didn’t even think of it before starting Aoi’s route, but maybe Aoi had someone kill Keiichi off so he could do this experiment, so he could use the ancestor’s blood and make this new vampire hybrid.

I’m almost done with Hakuro’s good route and I can see how Omega Vampire is getting a switch release.

All of the sex scenes thus far, have felt tacked on.

That’s not to say they haven’t been enjoyable - because the ones between the pairings have been. But they could easily be left out and the game would still make sense. Hell, ROMANCE could be left out and the game would still make sense.

So yeah, I definitely can understand how Omega Vampire was chosen for a switch release and can see how it would be very easy to alter it for such a release.

I, for one, would appreciate the nonsensical sex scenes that i’ve encountered thus to be left out =/ (Arimura/whatshisface scene was dumb, hakuro/derangedscientistdude was annoying)

I guess in this world, an alpha can bind as many omegas they want to themselves, while once an omega is bound, they are fucked - they belong to that alpha for life. That... sucks!!

Like, I just assumed Heinrich was doing some weird shit to an omega in Genma’s route, but it looks like this is something any alpha can do to an omega.

Creepy! But interesting. I personally prefer bonding in the more romantic sense for my typical abo experiences, but within the context of this game - it makes sense.

Also, this game so far - with the abo elements, it assumes the player is already acquainted with abo stories, so I suggest if you don’t know anything abo and still want to play it, you better brush up on some abo shit or else you may be confused or find it dumb or whatever.

Haha I like the difference with Keiichi already in Hakuro’s route.

in Genma’s he was more curious about his vampire side, saying how he was uncomfortable in his bed - here, while confronting Genma about Hakuro - the coffin is brought up and Genma asks him if he wants to try it out, but Keiichi is all ‘no, i have my nice fluffy bed, thank you!!’

Finished Genma’s good route! I really like Omega Vampire as a whole so far, but then again - paranormal romance has a special place in my heart as it was a genre I had been very much into - probably my first foray into reading for fun, tbh! Plus ABO is sort of my catnip, so having a BLVN w it as part of the story is nice. I also personally like the way it’s handled here, but maybe that’s just me.

I had a few complaints with Genma’s route, mostly it kind of felt “insta-love-y” but that might be because the game seemed to focus more on the core story rather than romancing. But overall, I really enjoyed it.

I’ll be starting Hakuro’s route sometime, not sure about today.

I may or may not make a full review of my thoughts after I finish the whole game, but until then, I’m gonna swoon over Genma a bit more LOL

Ah, Genma spoke the title card for this chapter(?)! Guess this is when his route truly starts, per se? I’m guessing title cards will be voiced by whoever’s route you are on, maybe?

Speaking of the whole title card/tbc thing - i kind of like it. Mostly because i dont see it that often in a VN and it gives it more of a novel sort of feel in a way?? If that makes sense.

I think the only thing I don’t like about OV so far is the timer for your choices and the fact you can’t SAVE DURING THEM??

The timer is just... dumb imo. I get that its probably to make it feel as if you’re ‘going with your instincts’ in choices, but instead it just makes me feel rushed.

And not being able to save during them is the absolute worst. Maybe I have something turned on/off that I’m unaware of but i like saving at crucial choices to make it easier to go get other endings, now i’m going to have to replay through the whole game just to get certain endings :(

Tho since I’m using a guide, I am trying to save places before certain choices so I can easily just load up that save point. Thank god for half adder >_<

Okay maybe it will be delved into deeper when I’m on his route, but the fact Hakuro is a werewolf and that is never really talked about is kind of weird to me?

Like, it’s established in this world that vampires have slowly become recognized in society, but werewolves are never brought up until like, right now.

Are we just to assume that since vampires exist that it’s only natural werewolves do too? Or is Hakuro an odd one? Only time will tell I guess.

I’m just dipping my toes in Genma’s route and I love him already. He seems proud and I like that.

Also i’m going in blind in this game - i have no idea about anything other than it’s an abo vampire VN - which is right up my alley ok (love ABO anything!)

Decided to go ahead and start up Omega Vampire in between my replay of Shingakkou (and slogging through Musubi, but that’s only cause i’m going through Takara’s stuff and sorry not sorry i’m not a fan of his route >.>)

update on VNs:

I dropped Kintouka. It became convoluted to the point where it was too hard to follow on VNR, plus I grew uninterested in it. I think if I could read Japanese proficiently, I’d probably like it but it is what it is.

I’ve been playing Paradise Musubi and replaying Shingakkou. It took me requesting it on a now defunct Eroge site to get Musubi but FINALLY I got a copy ahhh ;u; and Shingakkou is still *chef kiss* (Only finished NeilxMichael route for now, then moving on to MichaelxCecil>LeonidxMichael>AugustxMichael, then do switch ‘em in backwards order, then do Gaby’s routes o/ )

I’m probably going to be replaying DMMd soon lol - the stage play has me itching to revisit it too! ;u;

I’ll be replaying Togainu no Chi when it comes out from JAST... NEXT MONTH!!!! WHOO!

I’ll probably try to pick up either Omega Vampire or Taisho Mebiusline (or both?) some time this new year.

I’ve also been playing 7scarlet, but im very meh on it.
