Also this rise of tumblr users determined to call all gofundme’s a scam over the smallest details is so telling of the average person’s ability to have empathy and understand the lengths a person will go to to help their family survive. Yes, Gazans are making multiple accounts, they are sending asks relentlessly, they are copying templates/formats text posts from each other, they are giving extreme and explicit details of their suffering, they are using google translate to try to reach as many people as possible, but wouldn’t you do the same if it was your family you needed for raise money for survival for? After: This is our home, built with our sweat and effort, and it has been completely destroyed.
