Mishkan Yisroel Synagogue, on Blaine Street and Linwood. Really cool!
I climbed the fire stairs to get to the second floor but couldn’t walk on it. We plan on going back to explore the basement soon.
Virtually no police or people nearby.

These photos were taken from a house which I belive was on Grand River. I can’t remember the address, I need to get better at recording the random houses we go into, lol.
Going to random houses is far more dangerous than a larger building because they’re more likely to be inhabited by homeless people, or used as a crackhouse or drug area. However, they can be super cool! We’ve been in many but this is just one.
Usually, if you’re in a neighborhood, your danger is in the people around you and not cops. So make sure it doesn’t seem to be extremely busy when you’re going in. Scope out the block carefully and park your car strategically where you can see it from the house, and it’s off from the main street.

This is the only photo I can find from the Belle Isle Zoo. You can get to it through a small path near the back of the road that goes by the zoo. You either need to have some climbing skills or go through a large amount of brush and wildlife that has cut up my ankles.
we’ve run into others once, but Belle Isle is a populous place with security. Be careful when entering. However, security really won’t go in here unless they have a reason to believe someone is in there.
It’s a really cool experience.

Fisher Body Plant 21, located at 6015 Hastings.
Extremely safe location, frequented by other explorers. You’re likely to run into someone--we’ve ran into people every time we’ve gone. There is a starirwell you can use to get to the fifth floor and rooftop, along with the second floor if I remember correctly. However, the stairwell isnt safe.
Getting into the stariwell, you’ll have to climb through a small hole near the ground of the stairwell, but the opening is about four feet up in a room where the floor has collapsed. It isn’t unsafe to get in. Very low police presence, i’ve never seen even a car near here.

Hello!
For all intents and purposes, my name is M. I’ve lived in Detroit my whole life, surrounded by abandoned buildings from houses to factories. My group of friends and I often times go to abandoned buildings, and take photos. I’ll be posting photos, locations, and tips on this blog. My group of friends I frequent with are:
