Recently I stared reading the comic and I noticed some clumsy moves that a good writer should never do, one of many mistakes is transferring of the arc of a character to another and they did that more than once, the example that applies in this matter is Michonne, her arc was transferred to Carol and Andrea’s arc went to Michonne, the definitive proof of this is that in comic Michonne had a relationship with Ezequiel but since Carol is now MIchonne, then is Carol who’s gonna have a relationship with Ezequiel, yes, they are gonna be canon and goodbye to Caryl.
Why Caryl never happened, but richonne, a ship they pulled out of their asses did? well, it’s all about protagonism, the only example that comes to my mind now is in the show Gray’s Anatomy, curiously it involves another actor of the show, remember the character Denny Duquette? well, the ship Izzie/Denny was stealing the spotight of the main couple: Meredith/McDreamy, what they did? they got rid of competition, they killed off Denny. Don’t you see the trick? perhaps is was never their intention to make Caryl canon and they did something else, but one thing is sure: there was never slow burn or any other shit between Rick and Michonne but friendship, there was no need of a major couple because Rick was a very strong character and he didn’t need someone beside him and we didn’t need an arrow to point where we should look at, perhaps Gimple was having a gary stu moment through Rick?. richonne happened as a prove that AMC has always been incapable of knowing what the show needed.
Caryl was very important, that was growing together, that was slow burn, they looked good together, it could have rescued the show now that Andrew Lincoln is leaving, they just waste any chance to do something good, they keep disrespecting the characters and the audience, just when I though it couldn’t go worst. now there is nothing to look forward.
It’s so refreshing seeing a black mother be so open and nonjudgemental towards her daughter especially when expressing her feelings. That’s the kind of mother I aspire to be. #BlackFamily #BlackLove
