Apart from Iyami, though… permission to be a bit of a hater about the new OP and ending?
They could have afforded to make them a little more visually interesting, in my opinion! Maybe I’m just used to Osomatsu-san’s intros being super colorful and full of different elements popping in and out and I feel like they could have achieved something cool by mixing 3D and traditional animation, which is why it’s a little baffling to me they opted to just have 3D models of the sextuplets doing a little dance and not much else?
Also like, I have nothing against faux 2D, animators know how to make it look pretty decent on screen at least since 2001 with Kirby: Right Back at Ya! but the design choices they made… man. I didn’t want to be mean but I felt like I was watching Fingers in his Ass. Sorry. That was all I could think about. The fact they kept switching the camera angles randomly without changing the scenery REALLY didn’t help.
#ok so it wasn't just me who didn't like it? cool cool#i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt like ''maybe . . . theyre poking fun at idol anime?'' because making fun of other genres is--#their thing but then the end credits happened and i was like ''oh. oh no.'' because it looks baD#and it wasn't even like the models were doing anything that Osomatsu-san animators couldn't have done so much better??#the sheer amount of amazing fluid bouncy animation thats come out of them so many times and we got wonky 3D models for some basic dance?#tbh i didn't really care for the op song either i get that the girls who sung the original disbanded but still#the ending song was ok but it was very much giving mmd#but ive also seen many Oso-san mmds that have looked so much better

i see posts here about how people are so mortified when they are acknowledged as being a regular customer somewhere that they never return. cowards. the employees at taco bell treat me like a celebrity. like royalty. i am their strange little pet customer who gets traded along as staff comes and goes. they know my car before i even speak in the drive-thru speaker. today i was 2 hours late and she ran over and squealed that she "thought i'd left them!" and that she "made my order with extra love!" and you what, she did

Well . . . That certainly was an episode of Osomatsu-san
#first one of the season so im trying not to judge too harshly but uh yeah#not a lot happened#i don't even have a problem with those types of episodes--i actually really loved how they ended season 3 that way#but i dunno#again just episode 1 and next weeks episode preview looks more promising!
