The Gaza Evacuation Fund Book Auction is running from May 3rd to May 12th (EDT)

okay i will say obviously i loved this book but i do sometimes feel that single pov romances tend to miss out on getting the most from the non-pov love interest, which i felt was kind of true here. i like luis, and it's not that he doesn't feel fully fleshed out, but i still felt a little like i was missing a little, that i wasn't getting all of him. im not sure that's avoidable in single-pov tho.

normally i find the third act breakup in romances really annoying and avoidable but i liked the way it was handled in this book because it was kind of unavoidable. it needed to happen, and it wasn't some misunderstanding blown out of proportion, it actually made sense and worked narratively!

seeing reviews of the prospects calling it "high heat" none of u know what that means. it's clearly medium heat it's not THAT smutty
#also when did everyone get afraid of using the words smut and sex. spice is so vague what are you talking about#this is not a complaint abt the sex content in the book btw i felt it was a very appropriate level of sex and sex descriptions#for the overall tone of the book.#anyway i hope a thousand gay/trans ppl read this book and get rly into baseball bc of it 🙏🙏🙏

wait the other thing that kept making my laugh abt those baseball books was that they always referred to their balls as "nuts" during sex scenes and it made me laugh every single time
#the sex scenes were pretty funny. im pretty sure one of the organs was described as like#**ORGASMS. NOT ORGANS#a train exploding into a fireball or something. i dont remember exactly but it killed me. maybe i should rate that second book higher#anyway we're they avoiding saying balls bc of baseballs????? the idea of using 'nuts' in a sexual context is so unserious to me habxbsjgm#not that it's that serious to begin with.
