Sorry not sorry. Wala lang talaga akong pasyensya sa mga taong shushunga shunga. Ang linaw naman siguro ng pagkasabi ko sayo na the patient was already shifted to ward, can you please call ####? Sagot mo sister, sample was sent from ICU. Oh ano ngayon? Pag sa icu galing dapat sa icu din itatawag ang result kahit wala na yung pasyente dun? So, iinform ko ba doctor namin? Tapos ano? Kame ba gagawa ng intervention? Bibisitahin ko ang pasyente sa ward? O kaya papuntahin ang doctor namin dun?

Nakailang explain ako sakanya na wala na nga yung pasyente sa icu kaya dapat sa ward sya tumawag para sa result kaso sagot niya “sister, this is not my responsibility.” Shet! Sumabog si ateng! So anong responsibility mo kuya? Wala akong pakialam kung gumawa ka ng report. If the ward staff won’t check the result in the system then wala na akong magagawa dun. Even if you put my name as who received the panic findings from you, they wouldn’t know who is Arhaina. So brother umayos ka. Wala akong paki kung saudi ka or doctor ka. Masyadong kang shunga! Sana nga you know what responsibility means.

Disaster

Namatayan ka na, then nagshift ng patient sa ward ng mabilisan tapos aadmitan ka agad. 😆 yung di pa nalilinisan ang room ishishift na daw nila ang pasyente sa icu. Sabi nga ng doctor namin dapat 1 hour and a half daw bago maadmit-an para sa cleaning and fumigating. Pero hindi naman un nasusunod. Minsan nga kakaalis lang ng pasyente may darating na agad.

The problem is kung wala naman critical patient sa ER wala silang ididischarge kahit yung mga pasyente hindi na pasok sa icu criteria. tsaka na lang sila magoorder ng shifting pag may critical patient tapos mamadaliin ka. Oh db? Galing! 👏

Hindi naman kasi yung doctor ang napapagod eh. Kaya sila wala silang pakialam.

Sana namn minsan maranasan nila yung pagod ng mga nurses.

MALALA! 🙄🙄 yung ishishift ang pasyente at 1455H. So ano na mga bes? 1500H tapos na ang shift ko.

Kaya tuloy 1730H na kame nakauwi, ayoko naman iwan ang admission ko without doing anything. Yung papers dapat complete. Ayokong makareceive ng OVR.

The disadvantage of standing the whole shift. 😭 ang sakit. Puro pasa na rin ung binti ko para akong binugbog.

CPR called to reserve bed for admission. Bed 6.

Patient arrived in ICU at 0100H take note hindi pa kame tapos magpaligo sa isang patient at wala pa ang charge ko so ako na muna ang nagreceive ng patient and good thing was dumating siya before transferring patient from stretcher to icu bed.

Likot pa ni brother even with sedations on going.

Then windang ako nung nasa icu bed na ang patient endoscopy staff with endoscopy machine came. DI AKO NAINFORM, di man lang ako nakapagprepare. Walang palit palit ng gown si brother walang linis/punas man lang sa mukha kasi puro dugo siya. Patient was severely bleeding. He vomitted blood.

So ayun na nga, during endoscopy hindi ko malaman kung ano bang kinain ni brother parang hindi man lang nginuya. Gastro was trying to clear the stomach content but still they were unsuccessful to do so. 2 hours na endoscopy tapos wala lang?

Pagod. Sobra. Yung mangga mo pang di mapagsabihan na kinukuha pa. Oorder ng gamot kala mo naman meron ako sa bulsa. Oorder ng dugo kala mo naman ang blood bank ay nasa loob ng icu. BLOOD BANK is located in basement of Maternity building. Layong lakarin.

Ubus lahat ng syringe pumps sa icu. San san pa ako naabot para lang mghanap ng syringe pumps. BTW, infusions ng patient:

1. Midazolam 5mg/hr

2. Fentanyl 100mcg/hr

3. Sandostatin 50mcg/hr

4. Omeprazole 8mg/hr

Nagdagdag pa ng 5. Noradrenaline 0.5mcg/kg/min

Dagdag mo na ang stat medications, iv fluid and blood products. 🙄 so san ko na ikakabit?

Tapos mgtratransfuse ka ng PRBC and FFP, magisa mong mgchcheck. Walang nang double checking with other staff kasi yung kasama ko sa wing is nawawala pa to think na wala naman gagawin sa patient niya. Di man lang niya macheck yung isa ko pang pasyente na nagcocomplain na ng pain. 🙄🙄 (doble para intense) 😂 di ko lam san siya pumupunta. Buti pa siya nakakain kame ng charge ko kahit tubig wala.

After endoscopy, continuous transfusion pa ng blood. Di mapakali ang mangga namin hanggang sa hindi niya nkikita ang blood na on going. During endoscopy puro dugo lumalabas. FRESH BLOOD.

Nagpatawag pa ng General Surgeon (GS). Shet! Patient for OR. Yoko na. 😭 naiiyak na ako sa inis at pagod. Mag isa kong nagassist and they have different orders. Yun na, Nagready na ako especially the papers for OR. CONSENTS. Pre-operative checklist. Pati na rin transfusion monitoring papers kasi baka on going pa ang PRBC and FFP pag shinift si brother sa OR so kelangan pati yun ibigay sakanila.

Di ko lam anong uunahin ko. Medjo sakit sa ulo and especially sa katawan. 🥊

Kung kelan ako ready na sa lahat ng papers for OR dumating ulit ang GS at procedure ulit. 😢 flushing thru NGT. What I did was pinagbuksan ko siya ng tatlong normal saline, binigyan ng kidney basin and Asepto syringe and nilapit ang yellow bin at hinayaan ko na siyang gawin ang gusto nya and I went outside the patient room para magstart sa nurses notes ko and to check all assessment papers. Nalala ko sinabihan pala ako ng kasama ko sa wing na siya magsusulat sa mga assessments pero nung chineck ko wala. Empty. Hays.

Gulo pa ng charge ko. 😆 siya na yung nagreceive from cpr staff ako pa tinatanong. 😂 eh yung kaya ko lang naman sagutin sakanya eh yung mga ginawa lang sa icu. Harhar talaga ate. Ginugulo mo ko.

To end it, before ng morning endorsement bumalik ang Gastro at nagendoscopy ulit.

*sa Gastrong yun sinabihan ko na siyang baliktad yung pag gamit niya ng blue gown sabi niya sakin i like it like this, hinayaan ko siya. I left him trying to close the gown (hirap siyang iclose kasi nga yung dapt na nasa likod eh paharap nya ginamit). 😂 may kinuha ako saglit pag balik ko tama na yung pag gamit nya kso yung pagtali naman ang mali. And he came to me and said sister help me. 😂

Note: Mahal ko pagiging ICU nurse kaso pagod. 😂

Wala akong balak kausapin siya. But awhile ago, we discovered that my patient has no ICU consent and they planned to do emergency endoscopy. So how? My charge was the one who talked to him and he went to me asking me why there’s no consent and I just answered him “i dont know” without even looking at him then he asked me who was the admitting charge. He knew who yet still asked me. 😂

When PM shift came, bestfriend came to me asking if we’ll submit out resignation letter and I said yes. I was too busy with my patient, still a lot of things to write even my BT monitoring was not yet done so I asked her if she can just submit mine along with hers. After awhile a staff came telling me that our head is calling me, I said i’m busy. 😆 after sometimes my bestfriend came and said “kari naa kaw karae lang.”

So when I was there he kept on asking why. Thank God, i was calm. 😂 but when i answered him first, he asked me why I’m still sharp? 😆 God. Me and my friend just looked at each other, skeptical. Sharp? 🤔

Then he said my voice. Me and BF just laughed.

Telling him working in a place that doesn’t make you happy and the environment is not healthy anymore, I even reasoned out my mom, telling him that my mom wants me to come home, but these are not enough reasons to him. I don’t know what else to say to him so that he’ll sign our resignation letter. So what should we say to him??

PS. sabi pa niya grupo daw namin masyadong aggressive. 😆 di ko alam why he said that.

But if yung tinutukoy is dahil sa ugali namin, yes we are. I don’t care who you are as long as i feel na you don’t respect me, di din kita rerespetuhin. I don’t believe in the saying na di porke’t wala siyang respeto di mo na siya irerespesto (dapat respetuhin mo pa rin siya.) This is bullshit for me. IF YOU DON’T RESPECT ME, I’LL DO THE SAME THING TO YOU.

And the last thing he said was “I don’t want to see those letters again. I’ll remove your name and your BF name as CN. talk to your BF and convince her.”

Wala akong respeto? On what basis? Dahil sa hindi ko tinanggap yung pagchacharge? I do respect everyone in and out ICU. If not, doctors would not say nice things to me like complimenting my work and i would not get along with other nurses and healthcare team. Pero sa napapansin ko gusto naman ako kawork ng mga doctors and staff nurses sa icu. Ikaw ba may sama ng loob saakin? Kaya ka ganyan?

Kung sa tingin mo di kita nirerespeto just because i refused to take the charge nurse position well its up to you. I can’t do anything sa makitid mong utak.

You’re maybe my superior but i don’t need to follow every thing you say. I’m not a dog.

Ps. And I hope someday you’ll realize why you always lose staff. Not just because they resign but they request for change of department.
