It’s an interesting artwork, whose style really stands out from the other special guest art due to his animator background. I sort of dig the harem-esque composition on the left side. Might as well continue this chain since my own video got posted... and include this, too...

My UK Mega Man Star Force DVD signed by Shingo Adachi a while ago! Thanks to @megamasterx for offering to go on my behalf and getting it signed.
Fun fact: While he was character designer for the anime, the DVD case lists his predecessor, Mitsuru Ishihara, on it. So he’s left out on the case entirely... And apparently he knew that too, haha.
On another note, Shingo Adachi is going to participate on the Ryuusei no Rockman 10th Anniversary Art Collection! Him, alongside a number of talented artists’ work will appear in an upcoming doujinshi, R ・Style 6 apparently? Look forward to it!

Shingo Adachi’s wonderful tribute art in a 2-page spread from R20+5.
I loved how great it was to see his take on Classic Rock in the scene. An Adachi-led classic Rockman animated series would be miles apart better looking than anything we’ll get from the Man of Action version. Now I’m just making myself sadder…

Rockman EXE Axess Episode 21 “Shademan’s Ambitions” Screenplay: Masashi Kubota Episode Director & Storyboard: Yuki Hayashi (Harume Kosaka) Animation Director: Hideyuki Motohashi
Very cool action episode throughout. First time CF Blues and CF Rockman work together. Axess cut CF Blues out pretty quickly so CF didn’t overstay its welcome like in Stream.

Rockman EXE Axess Episode 28 “Wavering Heart” Screenplay: Kenichi Yamada Episode Director & Storyboard: Yuki Hayashi (Harume Kosaka) Animation Director: Hideyuki Motohashi
Sometimes in animation, countless number of frames is not required to make an episode look good. Good storyboarding and direction can give the episode gravitas to the story without the need of a heap of drawings. Although it does help that the animation director knows how to really bring out these still images with cool art.
Also, I’ve recently added #best of exe anime and #best of rnr anime to these kind of animation tribute posts for easier archiving.

I totally feel like this first Netto image, right now. But, my batch of new Stream, Beast+ and Tribe cels arrived today! And since I can’t do much moving around, scanning it is. I did promise, after all.
I’ll start out with Beast+ today, and other image sets will follow this week. Haven’t totally counted to see how much new artwork I got in this set of 150+ pages, but there’s a decent amount of cool character art and some pretty background images. If it’s new to me, hopefully it’s new to you as well!
Netto, your mom and your girl are seriously creepin’ me out…

My EXE Official Complete Works Is Even Less Complete!?
What you need to know about the new EXE Official Complete Works reprint (left image) besides the 600 yen price increase:
Dude, the "Tie-Ins" section is gone. Like, totally gone.
Otherwise, the content is a match with the original Japanese release. This is still a good pick-up if you still don’t own one and don’t want to pay outrageous after-market prices.

No, thank you for letting me experience the show in such nice quality. Not with those over saturated episodes with a giant :49 on the left side of the screen like the old days. Though I do miss those sponsor cards...
Oh, wait a second, you still need to do those EXE movie extras with that variable bitrate you dislike so much!
No more EXE raws for you, this is my final Rockman release, I guess.

Congrats! I’ve been following you since the V1 Stream rips were coming out, and thought you’d never fill these other EXE pages you had listed. But looks like you proved me wrong! :P

AnonymisbehavingEMbeing said: Hello can you scan luna platz concept art if you have it please?
Searching…searching…
Oh, here we go! Thought I had posted some of this here before, but I guess not. So, since I might as well do this in one shot, this post will be a bit more extensive than my normal 3-pic posts.
The first 5 are from the batch of anime settei that I own. Same poses for the first two sets, I just have one that is pure lineart, and the other that is a colored black and white copy. Some might not see the point in posting both, but I figured it gives you a slightly different look at the concept. The fifth scan is more of a backpack reference, but it still contains a full body, blank stare Prez, so I figured I’d post it, too.
The final 3 come from the OCW, giving you a look at more pencil sketches, some unused concepts of both her and Vogue, along with a few official pieces thrown in.
You’ve seen what you’ve been looking for. Now get out of the lady’s drawers, for cripes sake!

Been a bit since I’ve done a true merchandise post, so this evening out of the vault come the 3rd series of Mattel NT Warrior mini figs. Since we had had a WonderFest announcement of new EXE figures last week, figured the timing was good to talk about these guys again.
While the larger Series 3 line was inevitably cancelled before they made it into stores for sale, this line did make it, albeit only in countries like Australia and Mexico, and not anywhere in the US, to my knowledge. That made them quite hard to get a hold of!
Unlike my Link chip set, I never got that close to a complete set of Advance chips, but these figures did have a few rarer chips attached, such as Air Hockey 3 (which helped with one of my fave PAs in all of Battle Network) and Gun Del Sol 2 (which means…Kojima loved Burnerman?)
While the line could have done without yet another Megaman and Protoman mini figure, it was nice to see guys like Spark and Burner get some attention, let alone a final boss like Gospel (Grave Beast). One thing you’ve gotta give the EXE/NT Warrior figure lines credit for is at least they tried to give a good variety of characters a spotlight, where as other series entries, well…I don’t think I have to explain how many X and Zero figs there are out there.
Speaking of WonderFest, I’m playing the waiting game and have 3 more kits on the way (Megamix Heat Man, Splash Woman x Tornado Man [What am I fighting foooorr~! edition], and Shooting Star Rockman V1). Yet I still have not assembled the other 2 kits I do own. ^^;
So nervous about damaging them when I’ve never built or painted one before. But it’s something I really want to get around to soon! One day I’ll learn…

Rockman EXE Episode 56
This episode’s art is just as is, it’s animation directed by Mitsuru Ishihara so every character is nicely on-model. Instead, let’s talk about the variation this episode had!
Obviously, the anime being a kids’ anime, is notorious for its overuse of stock footage. In the Dream Virus fight, Netto was given these awful stock footage that did not fit with the situation or even his outfit! At least this one is fixed in its DVD release... unlike Meiru’s continued PET situation in Stream...
Below is a comparison of the TV version (left) and the DVD version (right). For the TV version, I lowered the saturation a bit from the WPP fansub source.
youtube
Another change is not with the DVD release but with the international version! When the anime is sent over to international distributors, they’re given a text-less version of the show so they can write in their respective language in its place. We get to see some cool stuff we’d never see in the Japanese release, like this text-less ending sequence. The TVB airing of the EXE movie also had something similar to this.
Below is a comparison of the JP version (left) and the NT Warrior version (right).

Congrats on finishing Stream, guys! The series had that trudge in the middle but the last episodes were some good Rockmans!
(but seriously, when are you changing all instance of medi to meddy?)
Stream, a postmortem.
Well, it’s done. After 10 long years, every single episode of Stream has been subbed in English.
It’s a weird feeling, knowing that I played such an important role in this accomplishment, as obscure and insignificant as I am.
Where does IHP go from here? Our wonderful Japanese translators will start work on Beast+, while I continue work on the early episodes of Stream, working to improve Hi-C’s subs.
Thanks for all the support everyone’s shown us over the last two+ years. It’s been one heck of a ride, and I’m looking forward to all that the future holds.

In hindsight, we should've recorded all the funky colors we could make. You could make an atrocious brown or puke green color, it was neat color spectrum.
It's a neat way to distinguish players especially when everyone was transitioning to the same armors.
Re: Last batch of XOver scans
goluxexmachina reblogged this from rockmiyabideusexmachina and added:
Are the colored ones for elemental attributes?
Yep, based on your attached setup. It was the same way for all armors. If I remember correctly, Over-1 just had 5 BM card slots. Depending on your synergy/how many of each element card you had in that build, Over-1 would change to that elemental color. But let’s say you had 3 elec and 2 wood, then the color would be muted, but leaning more towards the elec yellow color.
So like in this screencap of my Over-10 below, my deck was 3 aqua, 3 wood. You can see he’s not really either green or blue, but sort of a mixture of them. Same goes for the other player on the screen, which obviously leans more fire, but their deck wasn’t a full fire synergy. Every combo had a different shade.
The colors in the scan from Page 3 should be full elemental synergy.

Hey, trucker voice IceMan came from us. So it's an accurate representation!
Here's a small pet project of mine. I've been collecting a bunch of dubs of this one really bad scene. It's a small look into how the terrible NT Warrior affected everywhere else.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXzoZNPFS9IWDk3AZM_DjUI--ooZK7YTD
(Polish dub is worst btw)
If you guys want to have a good laugh at the french dub of EXE, all the episodes are here (in a very weird order, this is a mess)
Warning : it’s awful

Nice! I know the DublSoul Mattel figures were crappy and completely stiff when the armor is put on. But... What's even the point of this one? Every single part of base MegaMan is covered up except for the eyes!

For your perusal today, it’s the super rare Mattel Wood Soul Megaman NT Warrior figure! Hard to believe this is over 10 years old now.
While leaf shields and woody towers are not included, this guy was pretty hard to find even when the toys were all over store shelves. I never even saw it in the wild myself, and rumors were that they pretty much were only found down South. Other than one other time on eBay after I bought this, I can’t say I’ve seen anyone put one up for sale since. But unlike the phantom Shadowman.EXE vs. Aqua Style Megaman mini figure, at least there is proof this one actually was released.
Even if the DoubleSoul figures were all so generically alike, and crappy among today’s D-Arts standards, the packaging art at least had nice takes on the Souls that weren’t just common official art plastered on.
