flynn-sawyerâ:
Words they exchanged, those werenât real. They were generally laced with sarcasm, uttered to provoke some sort of reaction from the other. But this? This was real. When she touched him, when their lips met, the way their bodies spoke to one another, those werenât things they could take back. âBetter than most,â Flynn contended, his head canting to a side as his shoulders traveled with a shrug, feeling her breath prickle his skin, he responded to the hands around his neck by wrapping his arms around her narrow waist, hoisting her up the counter. The glass made a noise as it slid through it, and, although Flynn registered the sound, he couldnât much care about it. There was nothing gentle about the way their mouths collided. Much like their words, those had a tendency of clashing. A hand grasped at her thigh, fingers digging through her pristine flesh. This. This was who they were. This was what they did.Â
Better than most. The words echoed in Kaelaâs mind as he returned the kiss with as much intensity as she gave. She swiped blindly behind her to remove any obstacles from getting in their way, her legs wrapping around him. To either pull him closer or to prevent him from pulling away, that she wasnât entirely sure of. Neither would she dwell on it as his hand grasped at her. A burning need pulsed through Kaela, a hand dragging down his back and the other entwining in his hair. She deepened the kiss, her teeth gazing his bottom lip and her tongue sweeping along it before delving into his mouth. This was them, not messy, nor complicated. Simple. Just the way Kaela needed things.

âHey, Kaela,â she smiled at the other, after hearing what she had to say, the blondie couldnât help but let out a small laugh. That was true, she heard that a few times, but if you ask her if she cared, she will say no, because she didnât, she still ate anyway, and she was still alive, so whoever told her that, was clearly wrong. âIf both of them are going to kill me, then I will die happy, because thereâs no way in hell that I will stop eating cookie dough and sushi, besides, I have eaten it my whole life, and Iâm still alive.â
ââBut sushi, really?ââ Kaela couldnât hide the distaste on her face. There was just something about uncooked fish that didnât sit right with her. It looked all slimy and as if it would spring back to life at any moment. ââAre we all really live though?ââ She spoke with a dramatic flair, leaning against the counter with the apple in her hand. ââOr are we all actually sims characters in a computer game being controlled by giants?ââ

samsonmoralesâ:
âIs it worth risking?â he questioned, speaking without hesitation. Samson would do everything in his power to keep Aria alive but trying to smuggle her home was a foolish idea. As far as he was concerned, that would likely get them both killed, making the effort a waste. âShe mentioned that you were unbelievably stubborn when it came to taking care of her.â he commented, thinking of the conversation he had with the princess when she finally allowed him into her room. âThank you. For watching out for her in a way I couldnât.â His voice was soft as he offered the surgeon the faintest of smiles. That said, he knew she could only really help with the physical injures and he was certain that Aria now had scars that would last a lifetime. He wished that there was someone on the island to talk to her but it just wasnât something any of the surgeons did. âI donât know.â Samson replied with a sigh. âI wish I did butâŚI have no idea.â
No, no it wasnât worth risking. Kaela wished it was, she wished she had the guts to give her life for someone who was essentially a stranger to her. But she didnât. She wanted to live, she owed it already to someone else to live. ââStubborn is my middle name, Samson. Along with danger, reckless, beautiful, caring, amazing and The Best Person In The World.ââ A grin in reply to the smile he gave her. ââIt must be hard for them, for most of them at least. They left family and friends behind. Most of us didnât leave anyone behind.ââ Kaela had done the best she could for Aria. There was only so much she could do, but the two women had parted on seemingly good terms. And Kaela could only hope now that Aria would feel comfortable enough to be able to return to Kaela for anything she needed.

sophie-dragicâ:
Sophie halted her actions merely to glare at the woman, one that some sometimes said bore resemblance to her. She couldnât quite see it aside from the dark hair and light eyes. âI wouldnât have barged in if it wasnât some sort of emergency. I felt like due to the haste of the situation, we could potentially neglect some pleasantries. Clearly, I was mistaken. Apologies where they might be due,â the first mate shrugged it off, aware that she had more important things to focus on, though there was something that caught her attention amidst what was happening, and Sophie quirked an eyebrow. âWow, weâre nearing Christmas already,â Sophie spoke with a heavy sigh, mostly making that comment to herself. Returning to what she was there to do, Sophie opened a bag and retrieved a neat list. âIâve comprised this in a hurry, but, anything you might actually require to suture someone. If thereâs anything else you might think of that isnât on this list, please feel free to include it,â she proceeded. Thorough as she could have been, Sophie wasnât a doctor, and the fact she was in a hurry could have made sure to keep some details out of her mind and list. âThe royal under my watch has some lacerations over his torso. Nothing major, but, his sister did the bandaging, and, letâs just say that at this moment, some of the wounds look like they could easily get infected. We wouldnât want to have to deal with that,â she shook her head.
ââYup.ââ Kaela popped her p loudly, hopping off the desk and dumping the lights on it instead. Christmas was one of her favourite times of year, as well as her worst. Her birthday was coming up on the 24th, Christmas eve, and it would be another birthday spent without her brother. ââHalloween is over, I donât celebrate Thanksgiving, so Christmas is up next.ââ Kaela walked up to Sophie, taking the list and scanning over it briefly. ââOff the books I take it?ââ Her eyes flicked up briefly to the woman, chewing her bottom lip as she mentally went through what she could safely spare. Pretty much everything on the list, but after the interrogations, what Kaela and a few others had brought back after the fire was dwindling fast. ââIâm going to need to ask Roman to send out another supply run.ââ She murmured to herself as she went through her cabinets to get everything that Sophie needed. ââWho is it?ââ Mikaela asked out loud, packing away the suture kits, bandages, antibiotics and salve in a bag. ââIdeally weâd put him on a drip for the antibiotics, but I canât spare it for--ââ She stopped herself, a dark frown forming on her face. ââFor a royal.ââ

Kaela exhaled in exasperation, her eyes rolling up towards the ceiling as she let the princess rant for a moment. She held her hand up to silence the woman, a hand propping on her hip as she gave Mira a deadpan look. ââI wish you could go home too, believe me.ââ Especially now to stop your whining. ââBut I donât have that power. So just give me your arm so I can take your blood pressure and then the both of us can get on with our separate day, love.ââ Kaela wrapped the inflatable cuff around her upper arm before she could protest and started pumping it up. ââDo you have any medical history that I need to be aware of? Of course we have most of it in our files already, but anything else that might not be on record?ââ
âIâm sorry, what were you saying?â Mira wondered, turning around, her glare sharp as she watched the pirate âYou know after everything, I donât think that I need to know. Not after everythingâŚâ she sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose âIâm so tired of all of thisâŚI just want to go home.â

inverprinceâ:
Duncan had not seen her, though when he turned around to face the brunette, he realised it would have been hard to miss her. Sheepishly, he smiled and stepped of to the side. â-Forgive me.â he said, eyes lowering to the sand before flicker back up toward her, as blue as the sea they both stood before. â-didânae see yeâ there.â Duncan shrugged gently but at her words, definitely felt the sudden on set of stiffness in his shoulders. â-best teâ; be gettinâ out now actually. We dunânae have muchâe this in Scotland. I was just over keen.â
ââHoly shit, heâs Scottish.ââ Kaela didnât realise she spoke out loud, her jaw dropping in pure glee as she sat up a bit straighter to look at him properly. A lazy grin danced across her lips and her eyebrow quirked up. ââWe donât get much sun like this in England either, I have an entire cabinet dedicated to decent UV factor sun creams if you want a bottle. Just swing by my office at some point. Preferably before you burn to a crisp.ââ She waved her hand as if it was unimportant. ââGo on, amuse me. Say something else.ââ

wyatt-of-the-seaâ:
Wyatt wanted to return to the mainland badly, but he never had the chance. âSo, when you went back, did they question you at all?â He asked. âI figure itâs been a while since anyone had seen you.â He was worried that if he went back to England people would know his status as a pirate and heâd be executed.
âWell unfortunately some of them canât help it. Maybe itâs just me, maybe Iâm whatâs scary.â He said sarcastically.
ââTurns out, I donât look like your typical pirate.ââ Kaela grinned, her arms spreading out and dropping by her side again. It was stupidly easy most times for her to stroll around a town in her civilian clothing, which she tended to wear anyway, no matter how hard it was to navigate a ship in a raring storm in sopping wet jeans. ââI have some connections too around the world. Ryanâs crew mates for one, theyâre happy to help me out when they can.ââ Her words almost faltered at the mentioning of her brother but she caught herself and plastered the smile back on her face. ââPlus it probably helps that most independent pirates are pretty much terrified of Roman, so knowing I sail under the Tulach flag even when we donât have it hoisted is a bonus.ââ Kaela laughed, unable to help herself and her hand flew to her mouth in an attempt to stifle the giggles. ââWyatt, I have seen seagulls more scary than you.ââ

ââOh, hey babe.ââ Kaela grinned fleetingly at the blonde, reaching over her head to grab a green apple rather than reaching for the easier accessible red apples. Because apples are supposed to be green, like in all the story books. She leaned against the counter, a loud crunch as she took a bite out of the apple and her gaze on what Abigail was doing. ââYou donât understand the point --ââ Kaela pointed at the sushi with her pinky finger, the apple clutched in that hand. ââWe get told weâll die from eating cookie dough, and yet we get encouraged to eat raw fish. Thatâs disgusting.ââ
The party seemed to have helped light up the mood, at least to some people, while to others that didnât help much, she was one of the latter, she smiled to be polite, but it wasnât the smile that she usually gave, the genuine one. She honestly didnât even go to the party, because she wasnât in the mood, and thatâs saying something, because she loved parties, booze, music, and flirting, was a great combination, but she just wasnât in the mood. She was in the carteen, making some sushi, when someone walked in, but she was so focused that she didnât notice.

ââYouâre in my view.ââ Kaela spoke up loudly in complaint, tilting her sunglasses down as she gazed at the giant who had decided to take up fort right in front of her. Her own personal sunbrella. Which normally she wouldnât mind, except today she had made extra effort to actually be out in the sun. Kaela had stuck a hand written note on her office door telling people to see Doctor Three Doors Down because she was officially off duty and then she had dragged a sunlounger all the way from the warehouse to the beach. And those bastards were heavy. ââShould you even be out here? I hear gingers burn to a crisp in this climate.ââ Aka, bitch. Get out of my sun.
With that shock of red hair and imposing, 6ft 4 build, it was hard to Duncan to be anything but noticeable. Not that he often bothered to hide himself. He didnât particularly like to stick out like a sore thumb, but he often made the most of a bad situation. -and being stuck on Treasure island was the best situation he had ever been in. Which was why he was currently striding along the beach, shirt in hand and shoes left at the villa he had been frog marched to on the first day. Duncan had been eager to get out of the place, the four walls seemingly closing in around him on the first hour of his stay. He was used to immense stone castle and the open waters of loughs and rivers. So the beach was a natural stop for him. Pausing, already covered in a fine sheen of sweat, Duncan turned to face the water and took a breather for himself. He stared out at the pale blue water, so different from the stormy grey of the Atlantic that he loved so much. A pang of guilt at his own enjoyment, and the nostalgia of home hit him hard in that moment.Â
