After 3 years of proper development in my program this 13 year old hockey player has obviously not stunted his growth from lifting weights or resistance training. His strength and power is unreal. Explosiveness off the charts. Just make sure you don't overload the weight you use for young athletes, low volume, and perfect technique. Remember it's not bodybuilding, it's athletic development. But you need to systemically record data from your training program to prove results.
