i was mostly doodling and then the whole Will and Mike in the upside down together idea got to my head:

basically, Mike putt himself in danger to “save” or help Will and he gets his head hurt, and theyre gay, thats it thats the idea.

i know i said it already but i need to reiterate how cute of a duo sarcastic max and very genuine el make.. once they start dating max catches el looking at her with the softest, most wide eyed expression, and to avoid showing how flustered she is she goes "why are you looking at me like that? do you want to kiss me or something?" but el just nods her head and earnestly says "yes :)" and then max melts into a puddle
